The D3-42 bulldozer is characterized by the 3rd class of traction, and the main difference between the D3-42 and the basic version of the DT-75 is the use of a reverse gearbox and a dump mechanism. The multifunctional unit D3-42 has been widely used due to a well-designed design and layout, namely:

  • The engine runs on diesel fuel, is started by an electric starter and has 5 models of execution, which are four-stroke power plants.
  • The models differ only in power: RM-80 and SMD-14NG - 80 l / s; A-41 - 90 l / s; SMD-18N, D245.5S2, D440-22 - 95 l/s.
  • The caterpillar undercarriage system is installed in all models of this special equipment. A solid metal frame and spring-type suspension are used. In the space between the caterpillar tracks there are side rails, firmly docked with the cross beam, which helps to withstand heavy loads and not damage the topsoil, which is especially important for agricultural manipulations.
  • The size of the caterpillar track depends on the model and can vary from 390 to 470 mm.

Start of operation

  • DZ-42T- used in swampy and impassable places. This modification even received the name "peat".
