Job description.

Foreman - foreman (foreman)

General Provisions.

Foreman - foreman (foreman) in the firm "________" is an intermediate figure between the head of production, other management of the enterprise and direct workers - executors of the wood processing process.

The difference between the position of the foreman-foreman and simply the foreman is that the foreman-foreman, in contrast to the simple foreman, along with the direct duties of the worker, additionally performs some of the duties of the engineering and technical staff related to the functions of managing the team.

These include the following features:

Independent assignment of workers to workplaces (daily issuance of an order) without the intervention of the head of production in this process;

Independent distribution of the monthly salary fund of the brigade among its members;

Personal responsibility for compliance by team members with safety measures at their workplaces in the absence of current engineering supervision (illness of the production manager, team work in the second or third shift, etc.);

The responsibility of the foreman-foreman for the implementation of the production plan for the production of products by the team.

An experienced worker who does not have a special education, but who has extensive experience in this specialty, or has a technical education (secondary or higher), can be appointed to his position as a foreman. He is appointed to the position by the director by order of the enterprise.

The foreman is elected by the decision of the general meeting of the brigade and after that he is appointed by the order of the enterprise by the director.

In both cases, when appointing team leaders, their organizational skills, technical literacy when working on technological equipment, the authority they have won among the team members and the management of the enterprise, their responsibility in performing their duties and other factors that positively characterize them are taken into account.

In his activities at the enterprise, the foreman (foreman) is guided by this service instruction, other instructions of engineering services that determine the actions of the working personnel at their workplaces (safety instructions, technological instructions, instructions for preparing machines for work, etc.), official orders of the enterprise management, oral orders of immediate managers (production manager, deputy director, director, technologist, chief engineer) who have the right to give such orders in the performance of their official duties.

SUBORDINATION.

The foreman (foreman) is promptly subordinate to the head of production and is responsible to him for the results of the work of the team he supervises. He carries out all his orders related to the scope of duties of the foreman-foreman. In matters of competence of other specialists of the enterprise, the foreman also fulfills their orders, namely:

Directives of the director, deputy. directors - any related to the field of work of the foreman-foreman (foreman);

Orders of the chief engineer - only those related to the operation of technological equipment, compliance by the brigade with fire safety rules, industrial sanitation rules;

The order of the technologist - only related to the issues of compliance by the brigade with technological instructions, flow charts, technical conditions for the products manufactured by the brigade, that is, in a broad sense - compliance by the brigade with technological discipline;

The orders of the safety engineer are only related to the issues of compliance by the team with the safety rules and labor protection when working on technological equipment.

ACCOUNTABILITY

The foreman (foreman) is instructed by this service instruction to keep primary records of the raw materials processed by the brigade and the finished products received by it. The foreman (foreman) is not a financially responsible person, but on the basis of his primary records, the production manager draws up his own material report, which has an official nature. Therefore, the requirements for the objectivity of the information provided by the foreman, its reliability, timeliness, are very high. And the quality of such information is one of the criteria for its work.

In addition to the head of production, the primary documentation regarding the implementation of the production plan by the brigade may be required from the foreman-foreman by three persons: director, deputy. directors, chief accountant of the enterprise, and he is obliged to provide them with this information. Other officials working at the enterprise are not entitled to demand such information from the foreman.

RECORDING

All primary accounting assigned to the foreman-foreman (foreman) is kept by him in the form of the foreman's log. the regulations on the logbook of the foreman and the form of its maintenance are developed separately, and are not included in this instruction.

PRODUCTION ACTIVITY Movement of raw materials and finished products

The raw materials necessary for the production of products produced by his team are obtained by the foreman either from the storekeeper of the central warehouse of the enterprise or from other areas of the woodworking production (from other foremen).

Receipt of raw materials in any case is drawn up on an invoice for the internal movement of material assets in the firm "___________".

The transfer of intermediate products by the production team from team to team is subject to the same procedure. Thus, foremen-foremen (foremen) transfer to each other all the products produced by them within the framework of the technological chain of processing raw materials in physical terms. Information about the amount of work performed and the intermediate products transferred to each other is entered by the foreman (foreman) into the brigade log and issued by a daily certificate, which he must hand over to the production manager by the end of the day. Delay, incompleteness of such information on the part of the foreman-foreman (foreman) qualifies as his service violation.

Finished goods, proper for shipment to the customer, are handed over only to the storekeeper of the central warehouse, This is drawn up by the corresponding invoice with the obligatory signature of three persons certifying the fact of delivery of the finished product to the warehouse: the head of production, the foreman-foreman, the storekeeper of the central warehouse.

Any other procedure for the transfer of finished products from the workshop is not allowed and is considered a gross violation of the official duties of these persons with all the ensuing administrative consequences.

In addition, the volume of finished products taken to the central warehouse by the head of the warehouse from the foreman-foreman is the basis for calculating his team's wages, and the foreman-foreman with bonus payments.

At the end of the reporting period (month), the foreman, having in his hands documents confirming the volume of products he has produced, closes the outfits of his team. Bonus surcharges due to him for the volume of work performed by him are calculated and approved by the head of production.

BRIGADE MANAGEMENT

The foreman is the direct supervisor of the brigade and is responsible for the results of its work. As part of the team management function, he has the following responsibilities:

Places the members of the brigade at their workplaces;

Responsible for the observance of the safety rules by the members of the team, and labor protection at their workplaces;

Performs primary control over the quality of products manufactured by the team;

Monitors the implementation by the team members of the internal regulations adopted at the enterprise (unauthorized absences of team members, being late for work, drinking alcoholic beverages at the workplace, etc.);

Produces distribution of brigade earnings in the process of closing orders to the brigade.

In the event that defective products are found by him personally or by other officials of the enterprise who are obliged to monitor the quality of the products, he determines the direct culprit of the marriage and at a meeting of the brigade determines who will be responsible for this marriage. If the brigade assumes responsibility for this marriage, the foreman shall attribute the costs of eliminating the marriage to the entire brigade. If the brigade refuses to take collective responsibility, the marriage is eliminated at the expense of the culpable member of the brigade. The foreman informs the head of production about this, and he makes the final decision on the adoption or non-adoption of administrative measures in relation to the culprit of the marriage:

Responsible for the implementation of the production plan communicated to the brigade by the management of the enterprise in the current month. The production plan for the brigade is formed by the head of production with the direct participation of the director of the enterprise and the head of the commercial department, who, depending on the specific request of buyers, release the range and the approximate number of products for each team that produces the final product.

On the eve of the next calendar month, the director gathers the technical council of the enterprise with the participation of all engineers who influence the production process (production start, chief engineer, technologist), the head of the commercial department (sales department) and foremen-foremen (foremen). At this council, the head of the commercial department reports on the order of customers for the next calendar month by the range of products, in their quantity and price terms.

The Council considers the technical feasibility of fulfilling the ordered volume of products (the chief engineer - the readiness of the machine park for work and the technologist - the availability of raw materials for this, the technological possibility of manufacturing the ordered products), and foremen (foremen) their ability to physically fulfill the ordered volumes.

After discussing all aspects of the upcoming work, foremen-foremen take upon themselves obligations for their teams to carry out certain volumes of work for the release of finished products.

In case of doubt, the foreman-foremen (foremen) consult with the members of the brigade.

After the foremen-foremen make monthly commitments, the adopted figures are recorded by the protocol of the technical council, approved by the director or deputy director and become for the production link the monthly production plan for the release of products, and for the commercial department (sales department) - the plan for the sale of the company's products.

The production plan is adopted both in quantitative and monetary terms, therefore, foremen-foremen, assuming planned obligations, practically form the brigade's salary fund, and, accordingly, the average salary in the brigade he leads.

The foremen of the procurement sections (the section for the sawmills, the sawing section) also participate in the discussion of the planned indicators of the brigades that produce the final product. The salary fund of their brigades is rigidly dependent on the adopted target indicators, so they become very interested in the implementation of the production plan, finishing sections of panel board production.

In case of non-fulfillment by the production teams of the planned indicators adopted at the technical council, the director of the enterprise can, after clarifying the reasons for non-fulfillment, reduce the percentage of deductions for the salary of the brigade.

The percentage of deductions is reduced if the brigade did not have objective reasons for not fulfilling the plan (the equipment is serviceable, the raw materials for the plan are available).

If the brigade has objective reasons (equipment breakdown, lack of raw materials for the month's plan), the percentage of deductions for the salary of the brigades does not change.

In case of production necessity, at the request of foremen-foremen, workers of the procurement section may be involved in their sections. In this case, the order to transfer workers to the brigade is taken by the production manager with an entry in the logbooks of the foremen of all brigades, who combine their efforts to fulfill the production plan.

In this case, the foreman of the finishing section tabulates the temporary worker of his brigade according to his report card and closes his salary according to the salary fund of his brigade.

The foreman supervises the technical condition of equipment and tools under his control, and is responsible to the production manager and chief engineer of the enterprise for its correct operation.

In the event of damage to equipment or cutting tools by members of the team, he conducts an initial investigation into the causes of such damage and reports his findings to the above persons.

In the event of an accident or gross violation of the safety rules, labor protection, and industrial sanitation rules by the team members, the foreman takes part in the commission to investigate the causes of violations or causes of the accident and takes measures to prevent such violations by members of his team in the future.
