The chief engineer is selected from among the persons participating in an open tender, and is enrolled in the staff on the basis of the order of the general director of CJSC Promavtomat. He reports exclusively to the CEO and operates under an individual contract. In the absence of the chief engineer, his duties are assigned to his first deputy or chief technologist.

General requirements

  • knowledge of the main industry standards and GOSTs in accordance with the specialization of CJSC Promavtomat;
  • knowledge of the rules of safe work and industrial sanitation;
  • know the technological regulations for the production of the main product range of the enterprise:
  • know the characteristics of the main technological and power equipment, their service life and capacity;
  • know the current state of production of products of CJSC Promavtomat at competing enterprises and in the world;
  • be able to draw up current and long-term plans for production and technical modernization;
  • know the main suppliers of raw materials and components, be able to draw up contracts with their suppliers.

Duties

The chief engineer is obliged:

  • supervise the preparation of programs for the innovative development of the enterprise and the improvement of production technology;
  • regularly report to the board on the work done, the technical condition of the enterprise and the measures taken to address bottlenecks;
  • follow the innovations in their field and organize search and research work;
  • carry out general management of the activities of the patent office, departments of standardization and technical control;
  • promote the growth of labor productivity, introduce systems of automatic regulation and robotization of production processes;
  • initiate the introduction of new products, technologies, monitor market conditions;
  • to provide continuous retraining of production and engineering personnel of the enterprise;
  • demand from their subordinates strict observance of the rules of safe work, fire-prevention measures and industrial sanitation;
  • take measures to investigate accidents at work and prevent their recurrence;
  • ensure the observance and development of measures to ensure the environmental safety of production, monitor the operation of treatment facilities and air purification plants.

The chief engineer enjoys the following rights:

  • within the limits of his authority, issue orders that are binding on all employees of the enterprise subordinate to him;
  • immediately, without agreement with the management of the enterprise, stop production if there is a threat to the health and life of employees or the danger of large-scale environmental pollution;
  • in agreement with the management, suspend the production of products if there is a threat of a significant decrease in its quality in the event of the use of substandard raw materials or malfunctions in the operation of equipment;
  • make proposals for the promotion and / or promotion of distinguished workers;
  • to raise before the management the question of the discrepancy between the position held by engineering personnel and individual workers;
  • request all documentation on matters within its competence (see section responsibilities).

Responsibility

The chief engineer is personally responsible for:

  • in full for compliance (violation) of safety regulations, implementation (non-implementation) of fire-prevention measures and pollution of the water and air basin;
  • for untimely informing of the management and failure to take actions to ensure elimination of the reasons that threaten the stable operation of the enterprise;
  • for providing incomplete or inaccurate information on issues within its competence.

Provision of activities, working hours

In order to ensure his activities, the chief engineer:

  • uses the company's car and / or receives compensation for expenses when using a personal car;
  • has irregular working hours with a corresponding supplement (30%) to his salary.
