Fallout 3 where to find the arlington library. National Guard base

Arlington Library: 10/30/2274

I slept. I took all the pre-war books, and I had 43 of them, and back to the Arlington Library.

I handed over pre-war books to Jerminge for 4300 covers. It turns out one book - 100 local money.

O! I'm on the next level! Fifteenth!

As scribe Yerling said, the ink can be found in the old restoration laboratory a few floors up. I'm going upstairs.

Oh, woe to me, woe! Sowed a teleporter somewhere. Maybe Moira will have one more copy? .. Hopefully.

I found ink upstairs. I also got access to all the databases of the Arlington Library.

Now to Button Gwynette at the National Archives.

National Archives

I give the Button (Button) the ink, I get a copy of the Declaration of Independence. At the same time, I steal the original of the Declaration from the safe.

Button Gwynette

On the way out I take Sydney with me and go to Rivet City, to Abraham Lincoln for an award.

We give Abraham the Declaration of Independence, we receive a reward. Selling to Lincoln all sorts of trinkets for the museum (Abe figurine, Lincoln's diary, Bill of Rights, Magna Carta).

Goodbye to Sydney. Perhaps I will meet with her again.

Description:

I think that the work of the master Djmystro need no special introduction!

This plugin adds a bunch of new locations and enemies. Added many new food items, armor and weapons. You are about to face hot battles with the new faction of raiders "Beast Masters" and old acquaintances - the "Talon" company. There are also several unmarked quests. Carefully read the dialogues with the NPC and other information.

You can also get a new partner, Wanda, if your character is kind, or the head of a psychiatric prison, if your character is evil. Wanda has tons of new wasteland recipes that she can cook for you if the right ingredients are in place.

There are also the so-called "Rumble Zones" with a bunch of enemies and a boss. You will need the Fort Detrick Key to access the Rumble Areas. The note with the key is in Milgram's shack. After passing these zones, you will have five keys to access the hideout of a bastard named Zeus. You can tear off his head with a sense of accomplishment. He deserved it :).

After completing the unmarked Chuchelnik quests, you can acquire a so-called 4D container, which will allow you to carry much more weight.

Location and names of new locations:

Cooper's Hotel (north of Supermart near the intermediate sewer station. Attention - quest NPC "Chuchelnik"!)

Springvale Collector

Base and outpost of the "Kogot" company

Druzhba mental hospital (East of the National Guard is a building that is said to defy time and space. One small detail - no one has ever returned alive to confirm or deny these rumors)

Fort Detrick (a large underground fort. To get there, you must have one of Zeus's keys. Unmeasured ghouls!)

Festinger Chasm ("Rumble Zone", located near the "Corvega" factory. Lots of super mutants!)

Rosenhan's Brewery ("Rumble Zone", located east of the Anchorage Memorial, next to Dukov's home. Beware - a huge brood of swamps!)

Sperry Quarry (Rumble Zone, Southwest Wasteland. Gadyushnyuk radscorpions!)

Shelter of Zeus ( A huge number of security robots and a lot of mercenaries!)

Capital Research Headquarters (Former Enclave Research Facility near the Capitol Building)

Fort Lewis (Rumble Zone in Tacoma Park. Access through a new car tunnel. Watch out - huge brood of Deathclaws!)

Beast Mastery Raider Lair (West of Little Lamplight)

Milgrem Shack (Small shack south of Megaton (underneath a destroyed freeway). Attention - the easiest way to start an unmarked Zeus quest.)

Old Olney Fire Station (through it you can get to the old central Olney metro hub)

Crystal City (huge multi-level underground metro station. The only way there is through the old central Olney metro hub)

House in Fairfax (small house in the center of the ruins of Fairfax)

Olney Metro Central Hub (Entrance via Olney Fire Station or Olney Vanilla Collector Network)

As you know, books in F3 increase the skills of the Chosen One. After reading the book, it disappears from the inventory, and the corresponding skill is increased by 1 (if you have taken the "Understanding" perk, available from level 4, the skill will increase by 2).

Considering that each book is scattered around the world of F3 in the amount of 23-25 copies, "Understanding" becomes one of the key perks initial stage character development (for example, without this perk, collecting all the books "Repairing Electronics" will give the character an increase in the Repair skill by 25, and with the "Understanding" perk - already by 50; a tangible difference!).

1. A merchant from Junktown. Tales of a Junktown Jerky Vendor

Upgradeable Skill: Trade

Junktown is a town in Fallout 1 that bred Brahmins but lacked a slaughterhouse or butcher to butcher and sell Brahmin meat. In Junktown, there was Doc Morbid's office, who sold human meat in the Hub under the guise of iguana meat (Easter egg for the movie Soylent Green (1973), in which the inhabitants of an overpopulated Earth solve the problem of the food crisis and general hunger in a very original way - they feed on the remains of dead people ).

Upgradeable Skill: Power Weapon

If you plan to collect all 25 copies of the book, you will have to defuse the bomb in Megaton, because after neutralizing it, you will be presented with a house by setting scientific style decor in which you can get a copy of the book "Nikola Tesla and You".

On the cover of the book, most likely, a parody of Nikola Tesla himself (the man on the cover is holding a glowing lamp). Nikola Tesla claimed to have invented a wireless power source that allowed him to hold a lamp and power it through his body without using any wires.

4. Take cover! Get down! (Duck and Cover!)

Upgradeable Skill: Explosives

This book may be based on the Cold War training short of the same name. The main character the film is a turtle named Bert, which hides in its shell at the slightest sign of danger. This film was shown to schoolchildren in class to explain to them how to behave in the event of a nuclear attack on the United States.

When NPCs in F3 try to run, they are exactly following the movements recommended by the movie.

The Galaktiki News radio station is broadcasting a series about Herbert Dashwood and his loyal servant, Ghoul Argyll. In one of the "episodes" Herbert, Argyll and an incognito slave trader are captured by the Super Mutants, and incognito complains to Herbert that in this position the ghoul still manages to fumble in the pockets of super mutants. To this Herbert replies: “It’s not what he pulls from his pockets, but what he puts there! Take cover, lie down! " - the super mutant dies from the explosion of a grenade placed in his inventory using the "reverse theft" technique.

5. Modern castles (Tumblers Today)

Upgradeable Skill: Hacking

A slightly incorrect translation of the title of the book into Russian - the term "tumbler" means any movable part of the lock mechanism, which must be brought to a certain position (with a key or a master key) in order to open the lock.

The most difficult to obtain copy of the book is in Vault 108, in a small closet opposite the idle generator. There, behind several boxes, there is a staircase, at the top of which is a can of Nuka-Cola.

7. Grognak the Barbarian

Upgradeable Skill: Melee Weapon

"Grognak the Barbarian" is the name of a series of comics published by Hubrys Comics in the middle of the 21st century about the adventures of the protagonist - a barbarian in prehistoric times. In total, at least 14 issues of the comic have been published. The first episode was titled In the Lair of the Virgin Eaters. Each issue cost $ 0.25. During The great war many copies were badly damaged or even irretrievably lost, which made the surviving copies of the "Grognak the Barbarian" very rare and desirable for collectors.

On July 13, 2268, the friend of the Chosen Amata finds an intact edition of the comic in the old belongings of her father, Overseer of Vault 101. She gives this copy to the Chosen One on his 10th birthday (in fact, this is how we get the first copy of the book that increases the skill in the game).

The title of the comic is an Easter egg for the movie "Conan the Barbarian" with the unforgettable Arnie in the title role.

Moreover, the title of the episode ("In the den of the virgin eaters") is an Easter egg for a specific scene from this film, in which Conan kills a snake that ate the young girls sacrificed to him.

The image of the Barbarian on the cover of the comic is exactly the same as the image of the Barbarian class in TES4: Oblivion, only stylized as a comic.

Upgradeable Skill: Repair

"Fixing Electronics" is a book for self-taught craftsmen, written in the 21st century. These books were used to repair electronics in the Vaults. The cover and title of the book is a free Easter egg for "Practical Electronics for Inventors" by Paul Schertz.

On July 13, 2268, a note from Vault Mechanic Stanley Armstrong can be seen in the cafeteria in Vault 101, asking residents to return a lost copy of the Electronics Repair book.

9. Science for All (Big Book of Science)

Upgradeable Skill: Science

You can get an infinite number of copies of the book "Science for All", tk. an ant researcher in the "Shalebridge Tunnels" location with one of the books in his inventory will respawn every 73 game hours.

If you want to collect all 25 copies of the book, you need to buy a scientific layout for the apartment in Tenpenny Tower (the book is included in the appendix to the interior). If you have a house in Megaton, you will not be able to collect all the copies.

The book is about 1000 pages long, because when the Chosen One takes the GOAT test at Vault 101, the chalkboard reads “turn to page 976 of Science for All”. On the same board, you can see the inscription "It is necessary to study page 997".

11. Combat manual of the Chinese special forces (Chinese Army: Spec. Ops. Training Manual)

Upgradeable Skill: Stealth

The hieroglyphs on the cover of the book literally translate as "Chinese Army Training Manual."

Surprisingly, the Chosen One, apparently, can read Chinese, otherwise it is impossible to explain how he understands what is written in this book. Option - the book could be translated for numerous Chinese spies, US citizens. Another option - Pip-Boy 3000 may have a Chinese to English translation function 

13. Lying: Congressional Style

Upgradeable Skill: Speech

In fact, the number of copies of the book that can actually be obtained in one playthrough is 23, since one copy is in the house in Megaton and in the Tenpenny Tower, and you cannot own apartments in two places at the same time. However, we can get another copy of the book if we have an apartment in Tenpenny Tower and let ghouls there. In this case, the book in the issue of Alistair Tenpenny will appear again (provided that you have already taken it before).

The title of the book is definitely a reference to the old joke that all politicians are liars. This is further supported by the fact that one of the copies of the book is on the podium in the Capitol Conference Hall, and the other is in Pulowski's hideout near the Capitol exit.

14. Paradise Lost

Upgradeable Skill: Speech

A single copy can be obtained by the Chosen One in the Ghoul Dungeon after talking with Tulip. She gives one copy for free, as "there are enough copies around and so". If you discard Paradise Lost from your inventory, it becomes Lie: A Congressman's Handbook.

Paradise Lost is a poem by the Englishman John Milton about the fall of man, the temptation of Adam and Eve by Satan and their expulsion from paradise. Interestingly, Tulip speaks of the Underground as a former museum exhibit dedicated to the afterlife and based on Paradise Lost. However, this is an obvious mistake, since the composition must be based on Dante Alighieri's "The Divine Comedy".
