RELEVANCE OF THE PROJECT The main purpose of the elementary school is the purposeful formation of a highly moral, harmoniously developing personality of a junior schoolchild. Literary reading is one of the main subjects in elementary school, in the study of which certain difficulties arise at the present time. One of the pressing problems of our time is a decrease in the motivation of students to study this subject, a lack of interest in reading. So the problem arose: how to form a genuine interest in reading in a first grader and an attitude towards this subject as a source of knowledge enrichment. And the project method was chosen to solve this problem. The project unites with a single goal not only the main participants in the educational process of teachers and students, but also to attract an equally interested party in the quality upbringing of the younger generation - parents. The National Educational Initiative "Our New School" considers working with parents as one of the issues. A modern school must interact closely with the family. It should be interesting for adults to come to educational institutions with children.
