Lately I've started to notice that I spend a lot of money. Whether this is due to high prices for everything or to the fact that I am a spender and cannot save, I don’t know. I think many of you are faced with this problem. Therefore, I decided to check whether an ordinary person can live for a week on the very minimum amount. This is how I started my challenge "Live seven days for 700 rubles." I'll make a reservation right away that I live in Ulyanovsk, an ordinary provincial town.

To begin with, I have identified the most frequent items of expenditure. It turned out to be food, transportation and entertainment.

I go to the grocery store every day and spend about 500 rubles. Every day. Potatoes, sausages, sausages, bread have not been in my diet for a long time. I try to eat right, so there are always fruits, berries, herbs in the fridge - all this is quite expensive, especially out of season. I am also very picky about food. For example, I won't eat ordinary pasta for 30 rubles, I'll take it for 100, with a label in Italian. Well, often I don't have enough time to prepare lunch in advance, and I run to the store next to the office for a snack. Extra spending turns out. As a result, I spend about 3 thousand rubles a week only on groceries.

I get to and from work every day by public transport. This is mainly a minibus. The fare is 20 rubles. If I go to a meeting, cinema or cafe and stay up late, I take a taxi home. On average, about 500 rubles are spent on transport per week.

Entertainment in our city is tight. My typical vacation: going to the cinema or theater, cafes with friends, pub quiz every two weeks. For a week, entertainment takes 1.5 thousand, if you round up.

As a result, it turns out that I spend 5 thousand rubles per week. I am writing this and am in shock. I spent 5 thousand a week, and lived on 700 rubles.

How I saved on food

I grew up in a family where food is one of the most important pleasures in life, and I'm not used to saving on food. But for the sake of the challenge, I had to find ways to cut costs. Here's what I did.

1. Determined the budget for the day

I had to spend 60 rubles a day for food (another 40 for travel). It was difficult, I had to give up my usual products. One pack of cottage cheese, which I eat almost daily, costs 75 rubles, so I had to refuse such products.

Pros:

  • I ate more seasonal vegetables and fruits.
  • The food in my refrigerator did not linger.
  • I learned how to cook dishes from what we have.

Minuses:

  • Without a clear list, I only bought what was included in the daily budget.
  • I ate a lot of empty carbohydrates: sweet, starchy foods. Because these products are cheap.
  • Didn't save. If I had money left, I spent it on the same empty carbs.

2. Made a list of the necessary products

Realizing that daily trips to the store do not help to save money at all, I decided to make a list of necessary products and buy everything in one day.

Pros:

  • A clear list keeps you from spending too much.
  • Saving time. Spent an hour in one day and didn't go shopping for the rest of the week.
  • The availability of a variety of products inspires culinary experimentation.

Minuses:

  • I spent my entire budget on food at once, leaving nothing in reserve.

3. I went to the market

I decided to check how different store prices are from those of private manufacturers.

Pros:

  • Some vegetables and fruits are cheaper than in stores.
  • Natural products.
  • You can choose any quantity, but in the store you won't go to the cashier with one tomato.

Minuses:

  • Talkative grannies who can easily blow anything you want.
  • It is not very convenient to get to the market.

4. Used the application with discounts

In addition to applications with discounts, you can use coupons and promotions for products you are interested in. Many stores have personal loyalty cards, bonus cards, with which you can save a lot.

Pros:

  • You can see great deals.
  • You can compare prices in different stores.

Minuses:

  • The only one, but bold - not all discounts are indicated in the applications. From personal experience, I was convinced that in stores more goods can be found cheaper.

5. I went to visit

You can chat and eat.

Pros:

  • Delicious food for free.
  • Chat with friends.

Minuses:

  • You need to ask for a visit.
  • You cannot take food with you.

How I saved on transport

From home to work, I take a minibus about 40 minutes. One way fare is 20 rubles, after 8 pm - 24 rubles.

1. I went by tram

Pros:

  • Saving. The cost of one trip is 18 rubles, when paying by card - 17 rubles.

Minuses:

  • Lack of comfort. The old trams are uncomfortable and cold.
  • The trip takes longer than the minibus.

2. Walked

Pros:

  • Wasted a lot of calories.
  • I saw many new beautiful places.
  • I pumped up willpower.

Minuses:

  • I was very tired and dropped out of life for two days, because I had no strength.
  • Wasted a lot of time.

3. Asked colleagues for a ride

Pros:

  • You can get there quickly, comfortably, in a pleasant company.
  • Is free.

Minuses:

  • Ask colleagues who could give you a ride.
  • Adapt to a colleague and start work from home.

How I saved on entertainment

I'm not a particularly party person, I spend most of my time at work or at home. I only have fun on weekends. But if you want to spend time interestingly, in our city and with paid cool events is tight, to say nothing of free ones. Therefore, I was faced with a very difficult task.

1. Attended free events

Pros:

  • I discovered quite interesting places for myself, such as museums, which I would never have gone to otherwise.

Minuses:

  • Free events in the provinces are often primitive boring amateur activities.

2. Walked

Pros:

  • Burned calories.
  • I saw many new and beautiful places.
  • I listened to a lot of audiobooks.

Cons: not found.

Outcome

For seven days I spent 683 rubles.

Overall, I am pleased with the results of my test. I clearly tracked my budget, gave up the habit of buying the first thing that caught my eye, realized that you can have a good rest without spending a single ruble.

Of course, I do not urge everyone to live on 700 rubles or even 1,000 rubles. Everyone has different needs and opportunities. But I advise you to try this experiment. Not in order to feel how awful it is, but to understand that you can easily live without the usual expenses and at the same time save good money.

How to live on 1000 rubles a month, as well as large sums. This topic is relevant for schoolchildren, students, retirees, whose monthly income is 5,000 - 10,000 rubles.

This article will tell you about the secrets of survival for the minimum amount.

How to live on a thousand rubles?

Carry out an audit of the refrigerator

Agree, you did not immediately begin to exist for a thousand rubles. Before that, they probably bought themselves cereals, sugar, salt, oil. It is necessary to properly look at all the shelves and cabinets, suddenly what is lying around where. Perhaps there is canned food in the refrigerator, and pickles in the attic.

We often forget about cucumbers and tomatoes stored in jars. It is possible that somewhere in a secluded place jam is waiting for you.

Dry the crackers from the hardened bread, do not throw anything away.

Choose the right store

It is better to go for vegetables not in the market, for other products in shops like Auchan and Fix price, because it is cheaper there than in any other place. In "Pyaterochka" promotions are often arranged, reducing the price by almost half. Discounts often apply to dairy products, crab meat, biscuits.

List of required products

Unlearn how to salt your food, add sugar to it. Plus, if you don't add seasoning to your food, you can save extra money.

What can be purchased:

  • we buy vermicelli (Petra, mivina) for six rubles, it will be instead of pasta;
  • we acquire four cans of stew, the price of each is forty;
  • we take cabbage and beans on the market. It will cost one hundred rubles. From a couple of tablespoons of beans, a person is satisfied, cabbage gives the same effect;
  • we buy a pack of buckwheat, rice. Will come out at eighty;
  • within a month to take three loaves of bread for fifteen.

Spend fasting days on water or tea. Scientists have proven that this flushes out toxins from the body, is good for a person. Do this simple thing once or twice a week to save on food. After fasting, you cannot immediately eat meat and food rich in protein. Better to boil the porridge and add vegetables.

Although it is difficult to give advice here, an individual approach is needed. But, there are a few things that can dramatically change your life. Yes, you can get fewer vitamins, but your body will feel great.

  1. Walk. To save on travel expenses, you will have to walk everywhere or ride a bicycle or scooter. By the way, the longer you walk, the more energy you spend. A tired person does not want to eat, only to rest.
  2. Be sure to buy butter, because it makes food fatter and richer. The hunger is not so strong after the oil.
  3. Sleep more. The more you sleep, the less you want to eat. If you start falling asleep late at night, when it gets dark, you will not waste electricity and water. When you come home from work, go straight to bed. To avoid wasting money for using the iron, carefully hang your clothes on a hanger or chair back.
  4. Go to visit. You can eat for free at a party. Pretend that you passed by and accidentally decided to drop by, have a few words. The hospitable host will always seat the visitor at the table and provide food.
  5. Drink from the cooler at work and in shopping malls. Free water can be found in major stores as well as at the office. There is no point in spending money on water if you can save on it. By the way, if not yellow rust is flowing from the tap, then stop disdaining and drink it. Of course, it is better to boil. This will fill the stomach for a couple of hours, the feeling of hunger will go away.
  6. On the Internet, sit only in places where there is free Wi-Fi. These are cafes, restaurants, large parks.
  7. By the way, if you don't feel sorry for your stomach, then go shopping and ask for expired goods. According to the law, they are obliged to throw it away, but what difference does it make where to sell the spoiled things. For example, expired sausage can be safely eaten for another two weeks after the expiration of the term, cereals and even more so. We do not recommend using fermented milk products.
  8. When washing dishes, don't waste water on every mug and plate. Wait until there is enough in the sink, and only then start cleaning.
  9. Replace your vacuum cleaner with a broom and dustpan. Airing the room and removing dust from the floor, shelves, table will come down to cleaning. Now there are no funds to clean windows.

You will be able to live for about two weeks per thousand, taking into account the fact that you have to pay the bills.

How to live on three thousand rubles?

And although it will be easier for you than a thousand, but it is also small funds. Simply, take into account that you need to spend less on those things that you do not need.

  1. Still walking. So far, you do not have the opportunity to buy yourself a travel card, so you will have to get to your destination on your own.
  2. Get a job as a dishwasher in the school cafeteria. There the workers are fed breakfast and lunch. After shifts, a pile of uneaten food remains, which workers take for themselves or give to stray animals.
  3. If you already have a job, then move on to drawing up the menu.
  4. By the way, many establishments arrange promotions and give out coupons. For example, if you tell the cashier at the Burger King the right code, then you will be given lunch, for which you have to pay only a ruble. By the way, here's another life hack: don't throw the Coke out. The BC has a machine that pours drinks for free if you bought a glass on the same day. However, this is not verified in any way. Just pick a moment when the place is crowded and queue up for drinks.
  5. Go to big shops, they often hold product tasting there. Some counters can be safely approached several times. The staff who stand on the free items will be happy when you get rid of their food. They are praised for successfully sorted out delicacies. Perhaps you can help someone else get an award.

How to live on ten thousand?

Many students live on five thousand a month while studying at the university, so there is a lot of information on the Internet on how to survive on the top ten.

Here's what you need to know:

  1. If you need to pay for the place of residence, then set aside two thousand in reserve.
  2. Buy clothes in second-hand shops or on sales. Usually a winter jacket is almost twice cheaper to buy in the summer. In the summer, it will take about two thousand rubles for clothes, if not radically update the wardrobe. In winter, you will have to postpone until five.
  3. You can now afford a travel card to travel to work or school.
  4. For this amount, you have the opportunity to afford some kind of entertainment (described below).
  5. At different times of the year, you will have a different balance of funds for food, but four thousand should always remain. Therefore, plan your budget, counting on one hundred and fifty rubles a day. For example, a bag of buckwheat is enough for three meals. Three packets = nine days of satiety. This works with all cereals and pasta packs.

In general, now you are free to buy almost everything that is on the shelves. Of course, within reason.

Vegetables and fruits, yoghurts, meat (preferably chicken and pork), bread, eggs, even chocolate. Combine foods with each other so that they do not become boring.

Part-time job

To slightly increase your budget, you can get a part-time job that will not take a lot of time:

  1. For example, the janitors get up at six in the morning and clean the area. In an hour or two, the work will be ready, and you will have time for your business. The same goes for porch cleaners. They have different contracts, but most often they will have to wash the floors once or twice a week.
  2. Another option for morning work is dog walking. Sometimes the owners are lazy, others cannot for health reasons. And the animal needs to get out of the house at least once a day. Half an hour of walking costs about three hundred rubles. At a time, you can recruit many small dogs and walk with the whole pack.
  3. Copywriters and rewriters hire people without experience and education. If this is an order for writing an article, then it can be done in an hour, having received from forty to two hundred rubles. With the addition of experience and reputation, the salary will increase, you will gain a client base. If you do not know how to write texts, then try to enter a captcha for a fee or go through paid questions.
  4. Payment for distribution and posting of leaflets is made in different ways. It can be an hourly rate, or it can be a piece rate. In the case of the second option, you will have to constantly photograph the work done with your phone to prove that you deserve the money.
  5. Collect bottles and junk paper. There is nothing wrong with that, plus you are helping to clean up the environment.
  6. There are centers testing new medicines. You will be placed in a room for twenty-four hours and given medication. You should write down all your feelings and symptoms. By the way, there you will be fed and given a bed for rent.
  7. Create an account on Instagram and VK, other social networks. Participate in the repost competition on a regular basis. Who knows, maybe you will get a set of books, a thousand rubles, a coupon in a cafe or an apartment. Reposts are free, so go for it.

Sell old things. You don't have to go to a pawnshop to bail out money for property. Go to flea markets or advertise on Avito. Get a penny, but you can really live on them for another week. Although it depends on what to sell. You can also have a TV. All the same, you will not need it: there is no time to watch it, and electricity is wasted. Better to lie down to sleep or work.

Cheap and free entertainment

  1. If you are a student, then you can visit almost all museums and exhibitions for free.
  2. For an ordinary person, a trip to the museum will also cost about fifty or one hundred rubles. The main thing is to choose little-known artists. They generally have free admission.
  3. Take a walk in the parks. Some have free rides.
  4. There is a day of the week in cinemas when tickets cost one hundred rubles all day. Find out this day and enjoy watching.
  5. Go to city events. On the squares they perform with parades, creative organizations must show their skills, fireworks are often launched at the end.
  6. Stay tuned for discoveries of new places. In the first days of work, they often arrange big discounts, or even serve a buffet for guests.
  7. In large cities, food-eating contests are often held. Look for those with free admission. And if you become a winner, then you will also be rewarded with a cash prize.

A ticket to the zoo also costs up to two hundred rubles, but walking among the animals is allowed at least all day.

People who confirmed the words from the article

On YouTube, you can google experiments in which they live on a thousand, three, five and ten rubles a month.

The guy plans to live the whole of 2019 for less than three thousand.

But a man in 2018 lives on a thousand a month.

Well, and also, here's an example of how a man survives on an income of 5,000 rubles. Review, feel this and make the right conclusions.

Let's summarize

So, we found out that a person will manage to live on even a meager amount. Apply helpful tips to survive any unexpected situation.

Today we have a household experiment: how can a family of 4 spend no more than 3 thousand rubles on food.

Participants: ordinary family: mom, dad, son (6 years old) and daughter (2 years old)

Place of residence: Moscow suburbs

Target: spend no more than 3000 rubles on weekly products

Outcome: spent 2370 rubles. None of the participants were hurt)

The task of eating three thousand a week (it was this amount that our readers on social networks chose for the experiment) at first seemed to us quite simple, since we almost always fit into this budget. But recently, you know what is going on with the country's economy, and this could not but affect the price level of all goods. The usual meal plan has also become overhead. Nevertheless, we tried to keep costs down as much as possible, while trying not to cheat ourselves and not go hungry.

The main difficulties

  • We eat differently. I do not eat meat, my husband, on the contrary, is a meat eater, son and daughter are selective to some products.
  • I do not like to cook. For the same reason, I don't really know how. It is good that the family prefers simple dishes that do not require special culinary talents.

Our advantages

  • It is easier for us to save on food: we are all satiated with a small amount of food.
  • The husband and children are not picky about food, and are grateful for any variety, even if it is an alternation of types of meat and simple side dishes.
  • There is no food cult in our family, we eat just to satisfy hunger, we practically do not go to restaurants, except that we have a snack in a cafe during a long family walk

Principles of economy in crisis

  • Prices for imported goods have increased - we are buying domestic goods.
  • Brand items and products have significantly risen in price - we do not overpay for the brand, packaging, we do not disdain with promotions and sales.
  • When buying some products (for example, factory sweets and pastries), we often go on about our own laziness (well, well, we save time!), Not wanting to cook it ourselves, and the cost of homemade baked goods is much lower than the price of a finished roll. And homemade yogurt is practically free compared to store yogurt.
  • We establish good relationships with sellers in the market. We go to "our", proven guys: when I take fruits and vegetables from them, they will definitely add a golden onion for the broth, a celery root for him, a bonus - a couple of tangerines for the children.

Weekly grocery basket

Before purchasing products, I checked our stocks.

Available were:

Dried apples;

A jar of pickled cucumbers;

Apple jam;

Sunflower oil (once bought in large quantities at a sale);

Chopped and frozen leeks;

Dry cat food (for a cat!).

Complicated the task to the maximum

Usually dad at our house only has breakfast and dinner, and dines at work, but this week (due to illness) he worked remotely. And the son generally eats in the kindergarten, so for the purity of the experiment, to his great joy, a week vacation was arranged.

Making a menu

Planning is the foundation of everything. Without a well-planned menu, no savings will come of it. With my dislike of cooking, menu planning is both simple and difficult at the same time. Simply - because the choice of what I manage not to spoil is small, difficult because of the poor variety. But nobody has complained yet!

The menu for the week turned out like this:

Based on the compiled menu, we buy products according to the list, taking into account what is already in stock.

As you can see, we almost did not meet 2000 thousand :)

  • One chicken made two soups (one for two days, the other for one), pilaf, cutlets for children, two chicken legs for dad (for two dinners), wings (also for dinner).

And a whole chicken is, of course, much cheaper than buying it piece by piece.

  • For homemade yoghurt, natural yoghurt was used as a starter, milk and a slow cooker in the heating mode. I don’t have a “yogurt” mode, so by trial and error I found a way to make yogurt in my wonderful saucepan.
  • Fruits were bought for a special offer in a store, vegetables for a special “friendly” price in the market.
  • Fish - pollock. Cheap and, by the way, very useful.
  • Bananas, apples, carrot slices, raisins were used as snacks.

If you still spend exactly 3000, then I would also add nuts and dried fruits - in winter this is better than non-seasonal fruits.

And if you take it to a minimum, you would choose the right chicken, potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes and apples: you will not die of hunger, but, of course, this cannot be called full-fledged nutrition.

Bon appetit, everyone, and remember - we do not live to eat, but we eat in order to live!

for a whole week, I took into account only the cost of food, and per person. At the same time, I was well aware that everyone has different tastes in food. Nevertheless, when choosing products and making a menu for the week, I tried not only to proceed from the price, but also to take into account the health benefits of these dishes.

So, we went to the store and bought:

Cheese, 350 g - 114 rubles / Zucchini, 1.5 kg - 57 rubles. / Broiler chicken, 1,800 kg - 233.82 rubles. / Chopped tuna in its own juice, 185 g - 45.1 rubles / Chicken egg, ten - 48.6 rubles. / Long-grain steamed rice, 5 sachets, 100 g each - 57.7 rubles. / Potatoes, 2 kg - 21.8 rubles. / Natural coffee, roasted, ground, 250 g - 109.7 rubles. / Butter 62%, 180 g - 24.8 rubles. / Pickled cucumbers, 680 g - 54.2 rubles. / Sauerkraut with cranberries, 400 g - 50.9 rubles. / Tomato paste, 140 g - 38.8 rubles. / Beets, 1.9 kg - - 22.61 rubles. / Bulb onion, 1.4 kg - 17.5 rubles. / Vermicelli, 450 g –35.2 rubles. / Washed carrots, 1.1 kg - 40.47 rubles.

Total goods for the amount: 994.00 rubles. (6 rubles remaining!)

Breakfast: coffee, tea and other colonial goods ...

I do not know how anyone, but personally I prefer to drink coffee for breakfast. This explains his presence on the list. It is likely that you prefer tea.

Well, so much the better: the cost of coffee is equivalent to a pack of tea and a bar of chocolate or oatmeal. For breakfast, you can also boil or fry an egg - 7 pieces for a week is just enough (we still need three others).

Takeaway lunch

We remember that the money for food has already been spent and it will not be possible to “have a snack” somewhere. Therefore, we make a knight's move and prepare dishes that you can freely put in the lunch box and take with you.

Express option

Most offices have a microwave oven. Therefore, we boil a little vermicelli according to the instructions on the package. While it is cooking, take a little cheese and put it in a separate bag.

Drain the vermicelli, put a little butter in it, put it in the lunch box. For lunch, you just need to sprinkle cheese on top. This option will do for 2-3 days.

Second express option

We wash a couple of potatoes and take them along with canned tuna. During lunch, we bake them in the microwave (or pre-bake them at home, and warm them up in the office). You can also add grated cheese to baked potatoes by cutting the potatoes in half and stuffing them.

The first one went!

- We cut the chicken into two parts and cook the broth from one, not forgetting to add spices to taste. You can then eat it separately, eating a boiled egg, or cook soup, adding vermicelli and potatoes to it. The first course is ready!

The second one went!

- 5 pieces. peel the potatoes and cut into slices, we also do with part of the zucchini.

- Cut the second part of the chicken into small pieces. We cut the onion into circles, put it in the rooster, after pouring sunflower oil there. We put on medium heat, wait until the onion becomes transparent, and add the chicken pieces.

When the chicken "grabs" a little, put the potato and zucchini circles in the roaster, add 2 glasses of water, tomato paste and leave to stew. When the potatoes are almost ready, add salt, pepper and any other spices to taste - you can also add half a cup of broth. An excellent dinner for the whole week is guaranteed!

Great combinator

- Boil (separately) the following ingredients: rice, 4 potatoes in uniforms, 3 carrots, 3 beets. We clean the vegetables, cut into cubes and put them in a bowl, pre-watered with sunflower oil. We also put the rice in a separate container.

- Cut the second part of the zucchini into cubes, simmer with onions and carrots and put them in a separate box.

- Remove ½ of the cooked chicken from the broth and cut it into small pieces and also put it in a separate box.

From the obtained ingredients you can make and take with you:

1. Vinaigrette:

In a separate bowl, combine some of the beets, potatoes, carrots, adding pickled cucumbers and sauerkraut. Make exactly as much as you eat. It is best to store cucumbers and cabbage separately from the rest of the ingredients. If there are peas or beans in the bins of your homeland, then add them too.

2. Stewed zucchini can be eaten

- as an independent dish;

- mix with rice;

- mix with rice and chicken pieces;

- just mix rice with chicken.

You can also simply fry rice with a chicken egg, or fry zucchini slices, having previously rolled them in an egg. Thus, for a week we got quite a pickle and vitamin menu.

And three more things ...

1. Having included chicken meat in the menu, I proceeded from the fact that many people cannot imagine life without meat. However, meat can be substituted for plant-based protein sources.

In addition to rice, which is included in the 1000-ruble limit, you can include lentils and beans in the diet - they will significantly help reduce your costs.

2. Don't buy semi-finished products.

In addition to the fact that frozen foods contain excessive amounts of sugars, fats and salt, their cost, among other things, is much higher. If you need protein - buy better tuna in your own juice, it is much healthier!

3. Fresh vegetables, of course, are good, but they also spoil much faster. Choosing pickles and pickled seasonal vegetables is a great way to preserve their health benefits!

Well, a thousand is without taking into account travel, only food. In general, I have a couple of tricks to save money, which I will gladly share and will not refuse to hear something useful in return.

1. Your best friend is chicken and meat bones. But the chicken is better. Buy chicken bones from which the breast was cut, or what is called a "soup set". Or just half a chicken. Boil the broth (for the broth, you also need an onion and a carrot). You take out the chicken, scrape off the leftover meat, they should be enough for a meat salad, where you can crumble everything that is lying around in the refrigerator - a potato, a boiled egg, a cucumber there. Total food for two to three days. Cook the soup from part of the broth now, freeze part of it - it will come in handy for later. If there was a lot of meat on the chicken, you can make pilaf.
2. Soups are generally your best friend when money is tight. You will mainly eat them. At the same time it is good for the stomach. You can cook soups from canned fish, potatoes, cereals, sorrel, cabbage ... Yes, from everything! The main thing is the broth and frying from the point below.
3. Carrots + onions + skillet = roast. Frying makes everything better, even simple pasta. Pass the onions and carrots, throw the cooked pasta into the pan to them, lightly fry it all. If you add a little tomato paste, that's good too. Frying, saffron and rice give us a kind of pilaf.
4. Do not buy sausage and cheese or eat sandwiches. Sausage and cheese are now more expensive than meat, but little sense. Butters are generally evil, the most wasteful food ever.
5. If you really want a sandwich, make homemade liver pate, it's very tasty. Buy a chicken liver, carefully peel it of films, fry it, then simmer it with onions, carrots and spices. Grind the finished mass with a blender into a paste, lay out in containers. Spread on bread - mmm! It should be remembered that there are no preservatives in homemade pate, unlike the purchased one, so such a pate is stored for no more than a week.
6. Have breakfast with porridge in the morning. If, of course, you eat porridge. But there are many different cereals, you can choose to your taste - semolina, oatmeal, rice, millet (it is true, you need to cook it in the evening), buckwheat, pearl barley.
7. In season, buy cheap vegetables - potatoes, cabbage, zucchini, eggplants. Zucchini can serve as the basis for a huge number of dishes. If you add potatoes, carrots, a little chicken and fresh herbs, you get delicious food. You can trim zucchini pancakes. If you stew cabbage with leftover meat or sausages, adding a spoonful of tomato paste, you also get a delicious dish. A lot of things can be made from potatoes, including potato pancakes - pancakes. Beets, potatoes, pickles, onions, carrots and peas give us a vinaigrette.
8. Things like chickpeas, lentils and beans also help a lot - they are a source of plant-based proteins and a hearty meal.
9. If you want sweets, cake or buns - bake pancakes (1 glass of kefir, pancake flour, 1 egg, sugar, 1 spoonful of sunflower oil, if fried in a non-stick pan). They can be eaten with jam or condensed milk. Or make apple charlotte.
10. In season, you can try to look for fruit at a discount. In general, look for discounts everywhere!

I deliberately do not suggest buying cheap sausages as a main course, because, really, it is better to eat vegetables and chicken broth than this rubbish. If you want protein, you can eat eggs, canned fish, chicken legs, liver, or hearts.
