Planning Motivation Control

How do some people manage to travel so often? Travel along the Trans-Siberian Railway. Introduction Imagine you are traveling by rail

Tearing yourself off the couch and taking a step towards adventure - such promises are often made: to yourself, to your family, to your loved one. But somehow it doesn't work out with execution.

The maximum extreme in the understanding of the average person is to go fishing in an unfamiliar place. No, mentally we are all hoo, extreme and pioneers!

In any case, this is how it seems to us when another interesting story “on the topic” is shown on TV. Fortunately, individuals (it really hopes that you are one of them) are really inspired by what they saw and begin to plan their vacation so that there is something to remember. True, for the majority it smoothly transforms into the usual set of "all-inclusive": limp lying on the beach and alcoholic "exploits".

Then "all inclusive" ends and only photographs from the series "I am with a swollen and burnt face" remain in memory. Usually this is the very "I" against the background of some palm tree, unintelligible ruins. Less often with a monkey or "Any" friend "from the hinterland" with whom, in an alcoholic intoxication, they exchanged addresses and vowed eternal friendship (God forbid, they really will write!).

Boring, isn't it? But after all, we are the most ordinary people, and real travelers are former special forces, survivalists, or, at worst, millionaires.

You will be surprised, but no! Most of the people who prefer to spend their vacations in an interesting way are ordinary people. Teachers, workers, small employees, programmers. They just once made up their minds and went outside the familiar world.

So, we will tell you about the most unusual, but doable travel.

Horse riding
Option one: rent a van and a horse

This is when a faithful and strong horse drags a wagon-cart and, of course, you. The option is quite affordable. The only condition is the ability to take care of the horses in the slightest degree and, of course, drive the cart. However, if you are on fire with an idea, then this is not a problem. A hippodrome, stud farm or a village relative will teach you everything you need to know.

Vans and horses can be rented - in European countries this service is quite widespread, and in Russia it ceases to be a particular rarity. The only "but": it is better to travel in this way as part of a caravan. An instructor or more experienced companions will help you notice possible problem with a horseshoe or van.

Now remember your childhood - have you really never wanted to go on a trip, but in such a way as to stay at home? Now your dream can come true - after all, what is a van if not a mobile home!

Option two: horseback riding

Equestrian tourism is a fairly popular phenomenon, but let's put it this way, rather theoretically. Everyone has heard about it, but few can boast that they know someone who has traveled in this way. So dare, and the glory of a seasoned pioneer will fall on your shoulders like a prince's cloak.

Riding a horse you can get to very picturesque places, which are not so easy to reach by car. For example, in or the hills of Kamchatka. But you must admit that when a heavy backpack presses on your shoulders, it is somehow not up to admiring beauty. Here you can feel like a proud centaur, not a pack donkey.

Camel tours can be found in the East: in India (in the Thar Desert), in the Emirates and in Uzbekistan.

Imagine a real mobile home? It is too expensive? So there are "budget" options, much more modest in size and an order of magnitude cheaper. If your goal is exactly travel, and in the trailer itself you only intend to spend the night, then the "economy class" is quite enough.

An ordinary "kazanka" with a motor and oars. Tent, stock up on food and clothing, and you're ready to go. Keep in mind that the engine and fuel supply are more likely to be used as a last resort. The constant roar of the engine will ruin all the fun. Oars, gentlemen, oars!

Hard? And who makes you turn them around all day? Buried a little, rested, and again for the oars. Tired, tired, or have spotted a pretty parking spot - dock. Nobody is rushing you anywhere. Fishing, crayfish catching, sweet idleness and evening barbecue with kvass or tea from a pot. And now imagine how many impressions you will get from the trip, what a luxurious tan and what embossed abs you can boast of!

Frank exotic

The option is quite realistic, although not the cheapest. Well, and, of course, you shouldn't count on a trip around the world. If you are a beginner, then the maximum that you will be allowed is a trip for a few hours with an instructor. And frankly, it's cool enough at altitude, and the basket is not too big.

But! During these very few hours you get more impressions, more than for all trips to all-inclusive resorts. Bird's-eye views - something with something! In any case, none of the travelers has yet regretted the time spent.

Scenes from Jack London and the Russian North immediately appear before my eyes.

In fact, it is not necessary to fly so far to try yourself as a musher.

Even Switzerland offers similar entertainment. True, in this case it is rather "ersatz". But the Russian North is much closer than it seems. Explore and see if we are right. Or search the Internet - even in central Russia you can find sled dogs. Perhaps for this you will have to go to a neighboring area or even an area. But you must admit that the neighboring region is still not Alaska or Chukotka!

This is the name of the bamboo train in Cambodia. However, the word "train" in this case sounds too loud - it is rather a lightweight version of motorized tires. The speed is up to 30 km / h, which is quite enough for you to enjoy the views, and the insects do not have time to enjoy you. Thus, they move to the provinces, somewhere in secondary areas. railroad.

Space

Space tourism has become a reality, and the first travelers managed to go down in history by paying colossal amounts of money. Today you can visit space for much more modest money - $ 250,000. The duration of the trip is 2.5 hours and during this time you will have time to enjoy weightlessness, views of the Earth and space services.

Budget travel options
To hitchhike

It is believed that this is a "youth" option, but in fact, this is how even pensioners can travel (and travel!). Including in our country.

You will be surprised, but the attitude towards hitchhikers is quite benevolent. Your admission to the driver that you are not traveling in such an original way because of a fierce lack of money will only add respect.

Hitchhiking has its own specifics. In particular, it is desirable to be able to "ride on the ears", and do it well. If there is such a talent, then the drivers can throw not just in the desired direction, but make a detour for the sake of a glorious fellow traveler.

(hiking on the plain or climbing mountains - trekking)

Nice shoes, basic stamina and a tent. Here are the main things you should think about. The ability to make fires, including in the rain, fill up a bear with a penknife or make a nodya (a fire from logs) is encouraged. But not necessarily.

If there is no experience, then the route is chosen as simple as possible and preferably with fellow travelers. We will be happy to show you examples of routes - read the route.

We warn you right away: it is not a fact that you will like it. Not everyone is able to enjoy the hours of walking with a load on their shoulders.

Of the undoubted advantages - you will lose weight right before your eyes.

Everything is extremely simple: come to the port, for example, to Novorossiysk and hang out there, communicating with the sailors. We do not recommend hiring as a sailor - it is unlikely that then you will be able to get off wherever you want. Contract!

But they are unlikely to refuse to offer their help as an unofficial handyman for the opportunity to get on this ship to the desired port, for example, to Istanbul. However, you shouldn't count on the hospitality of the sea - dirty work and very modest living conditions await you.

As you can see, there are enough options, and if you want to stop being a “couch extreme”, then take a step towards your dreams. Who knows, maybe in a few years it will be your stories on TV that will inspire someone else to get off the couch?

Nizhny Novgorod- Kazan - Yekaterinburg - Tobolsk - Novosibirsk - Krasnoyarsk - Irkutsk - Chita - Birobidzhan - Vladivostok

So, I drove through all of Russia by rail.
It all started with a friend calling me to visit him in Krasnoyarsk and I decided that if I went, then it would be a sin not to see Baikal (after all, it was not far away), but if I see Baikal, then I should also visit my relatives in Chita .. after 10 minutes I decided not to punch my brain and go all over Russia, fortunately, such an idea had already occurred to me. And the highway itself looks very impressive: is it a joke, in tsarist Russia this colossus was rebuilt in just 13 years (!!!).

While researching information on how best to make this trip, I came across an interesting detail: it turns out that the Trans-Siberian Railway is very popular with foreigners, although they mostly buy tickets for the Moscow-Vladivostok direct train and just go 7 days to the terminal station. I have never been a fan of stupid winding of mileage, so the joy of shaking in a stuffy train for a whole week (and without stopping) is not clear to me. Looking ahead, I will say that I saw a foreigner only once - a Finn was driving on the Tobolsk-Novosibirsk section of the route.

It was decided to make 10 stops: St. Petersburg -> Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Tobolsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Chita, Birobidzhan, Vladivostok. For each city, I have allocated somewhere for 2-3 days.
My route is slightly different from the classic Transsib. If it is “right” to go from St. Petersburg, then in theory you need to pass Vologda and Perm, but I was already in the first city, and I decided to leave Perm for later, while Nizhny Novgorod and Kazan were very interesting to me and attracted me with their historical heritage and architecture. Another slight deviation is the city of Tobolsk. I decided to go there after the recommendation puerrtto .

The main shortcomings and regrets about the trip I made are connected with the route. I already think that it would be worthwhile to visit Tomsk (thus, I would see all 3 pearls of Russian wooden architecture- Vologda, Irkutsk and Tomsk), Blagoveshchensk and Khabarovsk. As for the Far East, in principle, I am not very upset - there will be a reason to fly there again (all the more, I have ideas for an interesting route), but on the other hand, I didn’t go there in vain ...
Also, in every new city I bought a magnet and looked for a local Armenian church - I collect them.

The journey lasted exactly 27 days. I traveled to Vladik exclusively by rail, and from there I flew to St. Petersburg by plane.

About the railway. In principle, I did not ride a reserved seat, but bought a coupe. The last thing I wanted was to be somewhere in Transbaikalia, with local gopniks or drunken demobels in the trash. Of course, I am dramatizing a little; reserved seats are a normal way to travel around Russia, but the fact is that all the “funny” stories that I have heard have always happened in reserved seats, so trying to cut off the marginal part of society with money is quite a logical decision. In addition, on trains I am always paranoid for personal belongings, and I really did not want to lose an expensive camera somewhere in the middle of the journey.

By the way, about security. All the way I had only one incident and it happened in a compartment car;)) I was driving from Krasnoyarsk to Irkutsk and as soon as we entered the Irkutsk region, some Bukharik got drunk in a restaurant car, began to swear and break into a compartment. When they tried to calm him down, he switched to a thug fenya, frightened him with local orders and said that this was his territory. With me in the compartment were two stern Siberian peasants who did not wait long and broke this fucker with stern Siberian pussies. At the next stop of this idiot, we took garbage and then we drove without problems;) When a fight broke out, I asked the conductor if there were police in the car and she said that there was no and we should wait for the next stop. I was honestly surprised; I don't know, maybe the cop is kept on especially problematic routes ...

In the cities themselves, it was relatively calm - you just need to understand where you are and not poke the camera in people's faces too clearly.
I also saw a huge number of prison tattoos on this trip. Of course, I had seen them before in St. Petersburg, but here somewhere, starting from the Urals, they burst out - they often caught my eye. Therefore, do not relax;)

The trains ran very accurately and were never late. The delays began in the Trans-Baikal Territory after some freight train went off the rails. The delay of trains for the next days was 2-3 hours.

Physically, I endured this journey very easily. I never left for a whole month and at the planning stage I thought that somewhere near Krasnoyarsk it would be very difficult for me and I would like to slow down. In practice, it turned out that at the end of the trip I could theoretically spend another month.
These are mind games: you lay 5 days on a trip and at the end of the fourth you pulls home, and you lay a month and you’ll pull home somewhere on the 28th. At least, I have empirically found out that this is so for me personally.
This is connected with my puncture: fearing that I would arrive in Chita completely exhausted, I decided to buy further tickets on the spot, according to the circumstances. It was a mistake. When I travel, I always try to make room for improvisation, but within reasonable limits. Specifically for me, the worst thing is uncertainty, because I feel great in the reinforced concrete structure of the planned path. The key to a good trip is good preparation. I do not like the “open ending” and I am absolutely comfortable when I know where and when to move on. Leaving the last leg of the journey to chance, I got quite a lot of money for an air ticket from Vladivostok to St. Petersburg. At the stage of preparation, I monitored prices and the cost fluctuated around 16 tr. and when I arrived in Vladik and bought a ticket, it cost me already 30 tr. Stepped specifically, yes - it will be a lesson to me.

I ate mainly in cafes, canteens (surprisingly, this is a very good option for a snack) and less often in restaurants. I didn’t get sick anywhere, so everything is in order with the catering;) The pretentious restaurant of Tatar cuisine in Kazan was the most expensive.
Hotels in all cities were good, although their prices were often unreasonably high, but if you look, you can find more or less adequate options.

The cities that I liked the most are Nizhny Novgorod, Irkutsk and Vladivostok.

I recommend everyone to take this route at least once. In Russia, you can necessary travel. In St. Petersburg and Moscow, a generation of people has already grown up who, with the exception of Europe and Asia, have never left their native city ...
Take the same India - a very exotic country, but everyone has traveled far and wide (it's enough just to compare the thickness of the Lonely Planet guide to Russia and India). So, in this regard, Russia is a relatively unexplored country and provides a unique opportunity to visit places where there are few travelers. But this is also a very important point.

For the whole trip, I spent about 110 tr.
Railway logistics cost me 36 tr.
An air ticket from Vladivostok cost 30 tr.
Hotels cost 23 tr. (taking into account the fact that in Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk and Chita I lived with acquaintances / friends / relatives).
Travel expenses (for food and local travel) - about 20 thousand rubles.

As I wrote above, it could have been cheaper if I traveled in a reserved seat and booked an air ticket in advance.

P.S. I will publish reports on a regular basis whenever possible, which is quite difficult, because I have dropped out of the normal rhythm of life for a month and I need to catch up on all fronts.

This i know

1. Describe the geographic location of China.

China is located in East Asia... From the east it is washed by the waters of the western seas of the Pacific Ocean. In the northeast, China borders on the DPRK and Russia, in the north - with Mongolia, in the northwest - with Russia and Kazakhstan, in the west - with Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan, in the southwest - with Pakistan, India, Nepal and Bhutan , in the south - with Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam. The benefits of such a geographic location are wide access to the Asia-Pacific region, which is now rapidly developing. The high-mountainous relief of Western China makes it difficult to contact with its western neighbors.

2. What place does China occupy in the world today?

Today's China is the largest state in the world. It ranks first in terms of population, second in terms of the cost of products and services produced, and third in terms of area. Almost all types of industrial products are produced in China. Modern China is one of the fastest growing economies in the world. Every 7-8 years, the country doubles the production of goods and services. China is able to fully provide its population with everything it needs. In addition, it is China that dresses and shoes half of the world.

3. Tell us about the occupations and lifestyle of the Chinese people.

94% of the country's population is Chinese. The distinctive features of the Chinese are hard work, organization, diligence, a special sense of the unity of man and nature. Most of the residents live in countryside, however, the number of townspeople is growing. China has the world's largest workforce. The number of people employed in the farm is practically 50%. Most of them (74%) are in rural areas.

4. Compare the maps in Figures 206 and 207. Draw a conclusion about the relationship of population density with land use in agriculture... Name the crops that are grown: a) in the South-East; b) in the North-East.

Population density is directly related to natural conditions. Since ancient times, people have inhabited the most suitable territories for agriculture. Therefore, the areas of the highest population density and agricultural areas coincide.

a) irrigated rice, tea and other thermophilic crops are grown in the South-East;

b) in the Northeast, barley, wheat, and sugar beets are grown.

That i can

5. Fill in the table

This is interesting to me

6. Imagine that you are traveling in China. Write a letter to a friend about your experience. Expand in the letter the features of nature, life, everyday life, economic activity population of the country.

China is an amazing country that you must visit. The nature of China is diverse. Here there is a vacation for every taste: for lovers of landscapes, mountain skiing, beach holidays, connoisseurs of architecture.

Residents of China tend to respect knowledge, scholarship, books. The Chinese greet each other with a handshake. Entrepreneurs must have business cards with them, the text on which must be printed in Chinese (preferably in gold paint) and English(just not red). The Chinese are extremely frugal, striving to quickly accumulate capital.

In China, dress is quite common, so you should not take something special and extravagant with you. For formal occasions, bring a jacket and tie, suit or formal dress. It is best to use small but capacious suitcases or trolley bags. Prepare to change clothes quite often, the weather in China is changeable.

Traveling around Beijing with a rickshaw is an unforgettable experience. Although the cycle rickshaws on duty at hotels awaiting customers often ask for quite a high price, you should definitely go for a ride.

Tipping is not accepted, but the maid or porter at the hotel will not give up RMB 1-2.

The Chinese have never considered honesty to be a virtue, but in relation to foreigners, cunning and deceit are traditional. Deception of a foreigner is considered a sign of great intelligence. Therefore, tourists are advised to bargain fiercely and check the change, as money is often counterfeit.

7. Do you have Chinese products in your home? What can you say about their quality, price? Which Chinese product would you recommend buying?

Today, Chinese goods are in every home. Most of the Chinese goods are mass consumption and are not of very high quality. Today, absolutely everything and absolutely any quality are produced in China. This situation was formed for one simple reason: cheap labor, low environmental standards. That is why there are a huge number of factories and enterprises in China, the number of which is in the tens of millions. The Chinese make absolutely EVERYTHING, from food and socks to metalworking equipment and heavy engineering. But many do not believe this, thinking that the Chinese are capable of producing only cheap consumer goods, plastic products and dangerous toys that our children break on the very first day.

However, many high and very high quality products are produced in China today. This is an iPhone and products apple... Perhaps many of you are not at all surprised by the technologies that exist today, but, in fact, this is a real miracle. China is a supplier of metal profiles from which are produced, attention !, high-speed trains to European (including Bombardier) and Russian enterprises... China independently produces for itself all cars, ABSOLUTELY ANY BRANDS, and they are all of excellent quality. I would say that they produce for themselves even better than we do for ourselves. You can understand this if you take a ride on such a car at least once: they are all stuffed to overflowing with electronics. They simply do not have such naked complete sets as we have.

But the current situation is such that Russia is a place where low-quality trash is sold. Because many more Russian people will be chasing a low price, often neglecting quality. But on the other hand, the Chinese produce many things and little things for us, the quality of which is not so important to us: some household items, plastic products, and so on.

Therefore, it is difficult to deny, but we simply need many Chinese goods and are not ready to buy similar things from other manufacturing countries, which will cost us an order of magnitude more expensive and will last much longer. Even when buying another obviously low-quality item, many are attracted by the price of the product, and we know that we can easily buy another one of the same, because it is quite inexpensive.

8.Currently, China by volume industrial production is one of the world leaders. However, most of its population still has a low standard of living. Try to explain this fact.

Various sources claim that the wealth of the Chinese is increasing and the average wages this is confirmed. However, if we talk about ordinary workers in factories and plants, and even more so about rural residents, their incomes are scanty. It's connected with big market labor in China. The presence of a huge number labor resources makes them cheap.

China, despite the rapid pace of development, still cannot provide a decent standard of living for all residents of the country precisely because of their number.

Adventure tour in Eastern Siberia (travel to the Putorana plateau)
There is a place in the world, the mystery of which attracts, and inaccessibility scares ... A place where there are thousands of lakes, and 18 of them are over 100 km in area. All these lakes form a large reservoir of fresh water. And the place itself was considered the habitat of the Fiery God, who was called the master of hell and the tormentor of human souls ... Several thousand years ago, volcanic eruptions happened here, as well as this place was used to perform cult rites and offerings ... Do you know where this mysterious place? The Putorana Plateau is the name of one of the most difficult regions of our country. There are places here where no man's foot has ever set foot. This is an amazing place in the world, the beauty of the region is mesmerizing, harmony and chaos merged together, and the silence of nothingness surrounds. And the only connection with this area is the airport of the city of Norilsk. So let's plunge into the mysterious world of the Putorana plateau and feel the beauty of the nature of the Taimyr region! Number of people: groups of 5 to 10 people. Difficulty of the route: medium level of difficulty, experience of hiking is required.
Line of the route: Norilsk - Lake. Lama - b. Omon-Yuryakh - the sources of the Dykengda river - the sources of the Omutkanen river - radially the sources of the Hikikal and Bunisyak rivers - r. Hoisi - lake. Lama - Norilsk.
Requirements for participants: good physical and moral preparation. Highly not recommended as a first long hike! There are practically no roads or trails on the route, 90% of the way is virgin virgin land! We have to constantly walk on barrows, stones of various sizes (from small pebbles to boulders of human height), on swampy taiga (the depth of even dry moss is sometimes knee-deep), on bumps in swamps, on snowfields. Some areas have to be overcome using rock climbing elements (they have no technical difficulty, they are passed by any participant who can physically climb / climb a stone 1.5 meters high. The instructor will certainly help in such areas.). There are also numerous knee-deep fords, and in the case of prolonged or powerful precipitation, possibly waist-deep. With all this, the complexity of the route can really be assessed as average. But - only if the participants of the hike have really good physical shape! If you are able to climb the stairs 15 floors in 2-3 minutes, and after that do not fall exhausted, the route is available to you.
Only in case of disgusting weather conditions (rain every day, strong wind, constant fog), which can occur, but extremely rarely during the duration of the hike - the complexity of the hike becomes really high.

Hello! In this post, I will list all the main points of preparation for your dream trip. This list is based on our travel experiences. If you have any additions and adjustments, I will be very glad to see them in the comments!

So you've decided that through year / six months / month / two weeks go on a journey through the cities and countries that you have wanted to visit for a long time. Everyone determines the preparation time for himself, since all people have different views, expectations and desires about the trip. It takes someone a year to perfectly learn multiple languages, complete self-defense and first aid courses (we've met and admire these travelers) and get things done. And someone needs three weeks to get ready (and such comrades are right in front of you). But whatever the preparation period, there are things that need to be done anyway.

1. Determining the purpose (s) of your trip.

Any endeavor must have a goal. Why? Because having a clearly formulated goal in your head, you will consciously and unconsciously strive for it. And this, in turn, will lead you to greater achievements and successes than in a pointless endeavor. I love the project-based approach to the implementation of any things.

Imagine traveling is a big personal project at this stage in your life. What do you want to get in the process and as a result of this project? Learn new languages? Find friends in every country on this planet? Take a photo of one of the most famous landmarks in each country? Find new ways to earn money for yourself? Think about it, write down your goals clearly and understandably to yourself. Immediately after that, you will realize that further travel planning becomes much easier and more enjoyable. Set goals that will inspire you throughout the journey, and leave the brightest memories afterwards!

2. Drawing up a route.

Surely there are countries that you are just dreaming about and visiting them is the basis of your trip. (1). Now look at your goals and select countries that will help you achieve them. (2) ... Be sure to read the information about the crime rate in the country and find out how safe it is to travel to a particular country and how to protect yourself as much as possible. (3) ... After that, think about visas and decide whether you are ready to spend time getting all the necessary visas at once, or you will make a visa to the next country, being already on a trip, or you will generally choose visa-free countries. (4) ... After these four steps, you will have a final list of the countries of your trip.

The next task is to plan the order of visits to countries. It is important to consider the cost of travel between countries, the seasons and weather in each country, and the amount of time you want to spend in each city. For example, we decided that in each city we will be at least two weeks and no more than two months. At the same time, these should be places where everything is in order with the Internet, tk. we need to work.

Route planning does not mean that you limit your freedom of movement. No! There is still room for spontaneity, because no one forces you to follow the route. But the very fact that you have a plan will make you more confident and also help calm your parents and friends!

3. Financial planning.

Now that you have a route and you know the approximate timing of your trip, it's time to draw up the most detailed financial plan... We have a special table in excel with detailed income and expenses fields. Obviously, such planning will help you see how you are doing with your money, whether your income is sufficient for you and what expenses are planned.

Healthy financial planning also because you have to find out about the approximate prices in the countries where you eat. How much does it cost to rent a house? How much does it cost to fly or travel from one city to another? This is very important at the planning stage as can help you get rid of some of your travel fears and provide you with a sense of stability to the degree you need it.

In this post, I am not considering ways to make money while traveling, there is a whole section for this. Here we are talking about preparing for the trip, when you have already decided for sure that it will take place, which means that you have already thought about your income. If you dream of traveling, but don't know how to leave without money and earning options, stop by.

4. Purchase of tickets.

I will write in detail about buying tickets in a separate post. there are many nuances that you need to pay attention to. Buying tickets is one of the key steps towards your journey! After that, you can safely uncork a bottle of something tasty in order to celebrate such a significant event!

5. Registration of visas.

If you need visas to visit some countries, this should be taken care of in advance, because it can take a long time to process multiple visas.

6. Search for housing.

After you have bought your tickets, you need to find accommodation in the first city of your trip. The choice of housing depends on your financial capabilities. We consider the cheapest options, so we usually choose either Airbnb or Couchsurfing. You can read more about finding accommodation abroad in

7. Registration of insurance.

It is very easy to get travel insurance and it is done online in 10 minutes. Initially we did it for a month, we didn’t extend it anymore. sometimes it is easier to go to a public hospital than to your insurance company... But to enter the country, insurance may be needed, so for your own peace of mind, be sure to issue a policy.

8. Preparing the body.

If you have time, take care of your health. Get medical assistance travel is not always possible. The insurance does not cover preventive measures. Therefore, I recommend that you visit doctors for examination and consultation. To be sure that during the trip you will not have a toothache, because it is already completely bad, and you have not shown it to the dentist for three years.

Also find out which vaccinations must be done to visit the countries that you have chosen. For South America we had three vaccinations each (for yellow fever, typhoid fever and hepatitis B).

9. Registration of bank cards.

Before you travel, think about how you will conduct various transactions with your money. Which card will receive the salary, which card will you pay for purchases, which card, if necessary, will be able to withdraw cash and, finally, which card will store the main income. All banks have different conditions, different programs and interest rates, and you need to familiarize yourself with them. With the right approach, you will not only not spend money on interbank transfers, but also make money on it.

Also look at the expiration dates of your cards, they should cover the entire travel period. If your card expires during your journey, consider how to solve this situation without any problems. If you don't have any cards at all, I advise you to get one credit card and one for cash withdrawals. The Citibank card is well suited for the latter, since this bank is international, and there are branches in almost any city, so you can withdraw cash without commission.

10. Purchase of dollars and currency of the first country.

It is better to go on a trip with at least a small amount of cash, this is obvious.

11. Learning the basics of a foreign language.

As it turns out, English doesn't always help. There are situations when he, on the contrary, very, very spoils the situation. You must know the basic phrases of the language of the countries where you are going. Buy small paper dictionaries because in some countries it is better not to use a mobile phone for safety reasons.

12. A trip to the pharmacy.

If you are planning a trip to more or less civilized countries, then of course there will be pharmacies there. But! If you need any special medicines or vitamins, it is better to buy large quantities of them in advance. I was faced with the following situation: what in Russia can be bought at any pharmacy in three minutes and three rubles, in Brazil, for example, requires a very long search, as a result of which it turns out that such things are not sold without a Brazilian doctor's prescription, and are four times more expensive than ours! I can say with confidence that any drug containing an antibiotic cannot be bought without a prescription in almost all countries of the world.

Well, in general, the first aid kit should always be with you. Make a list of the medications you need, taking into account all factors. Standard set must necessarily include something from allergies, tk. in an unfamiliar environment, the body may behave differently than you are used to.

13. Completion of all cases.

It's time to do everything that you have been putting off for a long time. Take unnecessary books to the library or book crossing, donate part of the clothes to low-income families, sell unused things on Avito, throw away the trash that has been accumulating for a long time - you need to leave with ease. Free yourself physically and mentally from all that is superfluous, so that there is a place for a new one!

Also, close your contract for Internet services so that some debt does not accidentally appear, pay off existing debts, visit relatives and have a farewell party! The points set well nudge you to start new business.

14. Dealing with your fears and concerns.

So that your journey is not overshadowed by anything, free yourself from fears. Every normal person has fears, they play an important role in your life and you simply cannot and should not give up. But you can make it so that they do not control you.

What comes to your mind when you think about travel? As Dale Carnegie said, one must believe in the best, but be prepared for the worst. I use this strategy a lot. Are you afraid that you will not be able to explain yourself in an unfamiliar language and will not be understood? Or that all your money will be stolen from you? Will you get lost? What will happen then? Imagine the most dire situation and your actions in it. What will you feel, say? Well, now you are ready for the worst, and it should no longer scare you to the point of panic, it should only help you to be attentive and careful.

15. Collecting things.

The last of the main stages of travel preparation. If now I was in the day when I was packing my things, then I would take exactly six times less clothes. To make a big trip, you have to be light. A medium-weight backpack allows you to achieve high mobility. Therefore, take only what you really need! It is better to buy some missing thing than to carry around 15 extra “just in case”.

I do not recommend going on a trip with a suitcase instead of a backpack. If you don't have a backpack yet, be sure to buy it. You can find a great cheap backpack, for example, on Avito.
