"Admiral Tributs" - Project 1155 large anti-submarine ship.

Base location

Pacific Fleet.

Construction

BOD was laid down at the plant. AA Zhdanova (now the Severnaya Verf shipyard) in Leningrad, launched on March 26, 1983, entered the fleet on February 15, 1986.

Milestones

In 1987-1988 he guarded Soviet ships in the Persian Gulf.

In 1999 he was on watch in the Indian Ocean.

In 2005, he paid a business visit to India, took part in the joint Russian-Indian exercises "Indra".

In 2005, the ship's crew was recognized as the best in the Pacific Fleet.

In November 2008, he delivered to the shore the victims of the accidental release of freon on the nuclear submarine "Nerpa".

Under the command of Captain 1st Rank Ildar Akhmerov, from December 10, 2011 to May 3, 2012, he performed tasks to ensure the safety of navigation in the Horn of Africa. During his stay in the Horn of Africa, he conducted five convoys consisting of ships from Russia and foreign countries.

In 2014, he underwent scheduled repairs at Dalzavod.

In April 2016, it is being tested after renovation. Return to the fleet is expected in July 2016.

In October 2016, as part of a squadron of ships of the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Navy, Vladivostok and went to military service in the Indian Ocean.

Performance characteristics and dimensions

The ship's speed is 29.5 knots, the economical one is 14 knots. Crew - 293 people. Full displacement - 7480 tons, standard - 6840 tons; length - 163 meters, width - 19 meters, draft - 7.8 meters.

Armament

2 four-container missile-torpedo launchers "Rastrub", 6-26 mines, 8 launchers of the "Dagger" anti-aircraft missile system (64 missiles), 2 100 mm AK-100 artillery mounts, 4 six-barreled 30 mm AK-630M machine guns, rocket bombs installation RBU-6000. There are 2 Ka-27 helicopters on board. .
From the famous 33rd Vladivostok berth to the Dalzavod Ship Repair Center (more precisely, to the place where it is nowcosts "Tributs") no more than two kilometers - half an hour walk along the northern coast of the Golden Horn Bay, however, in orderit took the ship many months to cover this distance.

It is not entirely clear why the Pacific Fleet command did not immediately order theBOD resource away from prying eyes, but preferred to demonstrate for a very long time to the whole worldan incapacitated ship (as well as the inability to repair it) in the very center of Vladivostok. All this time"Admiral Tributs" OKperformed the duties of a floating barracks, if you like - a block ship, remaining de jure a combat unit of the fleet.

It may be objected that a hulk ship is a vessel devoid of mechanisms and equipment (link 1). Indeed, the mechanisms
they were not dismantled from the "Tributsa", but here is what the mechanical part of the repair list says about these mechanisms (in a free
presentation):

№291 - main engine (GTE) DO63 (2 pcs.); operating time 12800/12950 hours; requiredoverhaul ; necessary
my works: dismantling, unloading, sending for repair at a specialized enterprise, loading, installation with replacement
shock absorbers and alignment, repair of the electrical control circuit with replacement of the cable for troubleshooting (automation), delivery of the quality control department and
personnel;

How long one of the workhorses of the Russian Navy was in a state of "neither there, nor here" is not known exactly.
10.12.2011-03.05.2012 - the ship was on the BS, during which it defended an anti-piracy watch in the Gulf of Aden and took part in
large-scale Russian-Chinese exercises "Maritime Interaction 2012" in the Yellow Sea, consisting of a very representative
grouping of the Pacific Fleet ("Varyag", "Shaposhnikov", "Vinogradov", "Tributs").07.07.2012 BOD w / n 564 together with "Varyag" and "Vinogradov"
successfully fired at air targets during summer combat training (link 2). No reports of exits since then
"Tributsa" at sea has not been received from the Ministry of Defense.

27.05.2013 order No. 0173100000813000679 "Project
1155-large anti-submarine ship "Admiral Tributs", head. No. 733 - repairs with the extension of overhaul periods (delivery
in 2014) for the needs of the Ministry of Defense Russian Federation". The initial (maximum) contract price was
defined in1.85 billion rubles (approx. $ 60 million) , deadline -until 25.11.2014 (all documents - under link 3).

29. 07.2013 , after two months of treading water, leadership federal agency Rosoboronpostavka announced
about cancellation of order placement. Before that, on 06.06.2013, public hearings were held on this topic, and two
the photos from this event explain a lot. Nothing personal, but the faces of the agency employees express only
boredom, misunderstanding of the subject and a complete lack of interest in the fate of the ship, which is so necessary for the domestic fleet.
And the title of the announcement about the hearings on the Rosoboronpostavka website (link 4) is "Successful Collateral - Open Dialogue" today

and looks like a mockery at all.

The case got under way quite recently - already in the course of work on this article. Any messages about fate
"Tributsa" was not received - neither from the Ministry of Defense (not surprised), nor from Dalzavod. Several pictures with
Airbases and from a completely unexpected source - the photo bank of the Continental Hockey League, whose athletes have visited
on the BOD with an excursion at the most appropriate time (learned from tsonyo with forums.airbase.ru) .

Judging by the available photographs, the "Admiral Tributs" was undergoing a long-awaited renovation somewherebetween 2 and 9 October , since 02.10 on
it (at the 33rd berth) had hockey players, and by 09.10 it was already standing at the repair embankment of Dalzavod. As for the release date
ship from repair, then, if Rogozin or Putin does not bark, taking into account at least a 4-month delay in the conclusion
contract (which may not have been signed yet), see the ocean again 564 destined not earlier than spring 2015 .

The large anti-submarine ships of the BOD project 1155 of the Udaloy type are the most numerous large surface ships of the Russian Navy that remained in service (one can say that the horns and legs remained from the fleet). After a catastrophic cut in funding, many buildings in the 1960s and 1970s were decommissioned, and not only? here = >>. All photos are clickable, presented the most interesting photos BOD project 1155.

Let me remind you that the seizure of dominant positions on a global scale in the oceans and seas, never before the USSR Navy and its successor, the Russian Navy, did not stand... But as a maritime power with its own local interests in certain sea spaces, a strong fleet is needed. Key interests, of course, in the Black Sea, but even more so in the Arctic. Not even a five-year plan will pass (probably even less), and the struggle for the Arctic will end. Imperceptibly, but it has already begun. So far we have, in spite of all the economic collisions, the most powerful military fleet, in the water area Arctic Ocean. This is to make it clear that our fleet is far from the most powerful in the world, and not even the second. Therefore, the requirements for ships are highly specific, for the performance of certain tasks, nothing more.

One of the main tasks of the Soviet Navy in the 1970s was the fight against nuclear submarines- for this, the Navy intended to use its submarines, hunters, anti-submarine base aircraft and specialized ships. The last and most advanced of the surface submarine hunters in the ocean zone were the Project 1155 ships developed in the early 1970s. Rapid growth technical characteristics submarines, especially after the transition to nuclear power plants, complicated the even before the difficult struggle with them.

BOD Admiral Chabanenko and the American missile cruiser San Jacinto in the Mediterranean, January 18, 2008

In 1972, the fleet issued to the industry technical task on a large anti-submarine ship of a new generation, in which it was necessary to significantly increase the search capabilities and combat the latest enemy nuclear submarines while strengthening protection against anti-ship missiles. The execution of all work was entrusted to the Northern Design Bureau (Leningrad), E. Tretnikov was appointed the chief designer of the project, since 1977 he was replaced by V. Mishin.
As a result, the anti-submarine warriors needed to significantly increase both the detection range and the range of destruction. These systems, possessing significant dimensions and weight (especially in Soviet models, you cannot argue against this, there have always been problems with diminutiveness), led to an uncontrollable increase in size and displacement. For example, on large anti-submarine ship BPK project 1155 type Udaloy it was necessary to plug in the "Polynom" sonar system, the previous generation "Titan" and "Titan-2" were inferior to it in all respects. So, the mass of the "Polynom" complex is almost 800 tons, the size of the underwater fairing (more than five meters in diameter and 30 meters in length) required special hull contours in the bow. But first things first.

90th BOD "Udaloy" in a sludge, photo

The fate of the first ship of the series is unenviable; after a short service, it was put into reserve at 96, expelled from the fleet in 2001. After partial dismantling, he sank in 2002, near the village of Belokamenka in the Kola Bay. In 2006, it was raised from the bottom and put on pins and needles.

Initially, it was supposed to use well-developed and built by a large series of BODs of project 1135 as a basis for the development of the project. new series on the old slipways. The previous generation by this time "grew" to almost 9000 tons and seemed excessively large and expensive.
However, the new sonar complex, which was required to be located, the basing of two anti-submarine helicopters and others mandatory requirements to increase combat effectiveness were forced to abandon restrictions, and in the end new project overcame the mark of 7000 tons of full displacement. In the stern, the contours were dictated by the placement of two helicopters and the corresponding landing area. As we remember, the bow has been changed for the Polynom sonar system.

A gas turbine power plant was used on the new BODs. In the difficult 1990s, it turned out that such a solution avoided many of the problems that arose during the operation of Project 956 boiler-turbine destroyers.

Although the concept of using EM and BOD assumed the separation of duties - the former were mainly focused on anti-ship missions, and the latter on the fight against submarines, compared to the Project 1134 BOD on Udal, the artillery armament was noticeably strengthened.

Large anti-submarine ship Admiral Levchenko Northern Fleet and the Norwegian frigate Otto Sverdrup, berth No. 1 in Severomorsk, September 11, 2009

In addition to the listed weapons, two 45-mm cannons are installed, which do not have at least some combat value and are used as fireworks. The ships of the project 1155 were known in the system of the Ministry of the Industry under the code "Fregat". The navy believes that the project 1155 fire extinguishing system is of little use for performing its tasks.

So a step was taken towards the creation of a universal warship, which, in the face of constant growth in size and cost, turned out to be the right decision. Simply put, we still got a more or less versatile ship, on which we entered the 21st century, however, we still continue to go.

In 1976, the Navy demanded to adjust the technical project 1155: a radical decision was made to increase the combat capabilities by adding another helicopter, installing a second RYA and improving operational characteristics.
The design features of the "Udaloy" type military ships are determined by their purpose: they were created to combat submarines.

Finally, on July 23, 1977, the lead ship Udaloy was laid down at the Yantar shipyard in Kaliningrad. A few months later, the second BOD, "Vice-Admiral Kulakov", began to be built at the shipyard. Zhdanova (Leningrad).

The entry into service of "Udal" fell on December 31, 1980. In total, over the next 10 years, 12 BODs were built according to the initial design, eight of them at Yantar. All of them became part of the Northern and Pacific fleets and after 1991 transferred to the Russian Navy.

Ships of the project 1155 have a steel hull with an elongated forecastle and a large camber of the frames in the bow to compensate negative impact fairing GAS "Polynom". Superstructures are made with a wide use of light (aluminum and magnesium) alloys. There is a roll stabilization system that reduces roll by more than three times. The ship's habitability has been improved (compared to its predecessors), taking into account the possibility of operations in regions of different climatic conditions. For officers there are single and double cabins, for warrant officers - double and four, for sailors - cabins for 12-14 people. There are rooms for recreation, sports, and an infirmary.
MAIN POWER PLANT
The MGEU is the same as on the SKR (formerly BOD) of project 1135. It includes two autonomous gas turbine units M9, each operating on its own propeller shaft. The GTA consists of a gas turbine of economic speed D090 with a capacity of 9000 liters. with. and a full-speed gas turbine DT59 with a capacity of 22,500 liters. with. The division into economic and afterburner turbines is due to the fact that the most economical for gas turbines (as opposed to steam or internal combustion engines) are modes close to full speed. Thus, in most cases, the ship can use the turbines that are optimal for the selected speed - either only economic ones, or both at the same time when full speed is required.

On the left, the last BOD of Project 1155, "Admiral Panteleev", raised the flag just a few days before the collapse of the USSR, on the right Admiral Tributs, berth 33, Vladivostok, February 14, 2008

Compared to a steam turbine (boiler turbine) unit, gas turbines have a high power density, smaller dimensions, and are easier to maintain. An equally important advantage is the ability to quickly switch from the off state to the full power mode - for a gas turbine engine, this time is 10-15 minutes, while for a classic steam turbine installation, the "rise" of vapors takes more than an hour and a half. Finally, modern boilers with high steam parameters (pressure and temperature) turn out to be very demanding on the quality of boiler water, which in the realities of everyday service sometimes creates big problems (from which EM project 956 suffers - contemporaries and similar in size).

4-pipe 533 mm torpedo tubes

Hydroacoustic complex "Polynom"
The core of the anti-submarine complex BOD is GAS "Polynom" - a subtle search GAS of all-round visibility and target designation. The huge dimensions provided high data - in particular, the detection range of a submarine-type target is 40-50 km, while the stations of the previous generation had a range of about 5-10 times less. In addition to the antenna in the nose bulb, there is also a towed MP760 "Fregat-MA" - a three-coordinate radar with a phased antenna array designed to detect air and surface targets and issue target designations to missile and artillery systems. The station antennas are located on a gyro-stabilized platform. The maximum detection range of an air target is 300 km. МР350 "Podkat" - two-coordinate radar for detecting low-flying small-sized targets in jamming conditions. At altitudes up to 100 m, the detection range exceeds 30 km. MP212 "Positive" - radar tracking and illumination of targets of the SAM "Dagger". In addition, there are radars for other purposes (navigation, artillery fire control MR-114 "Lev-114"), an antenna of variable depth. In addition to submarines, Polynom is capable of detecting torpedoes and anchor mines. The ships of the project 1155 are the smallest equipped with this GAS.

RADAR EQUIPMENT
URK-5 "Rastrub-B" is a universal missile system for combating submarines and surface ships.
Shoots a rocket-torpedo, which delivers a small-sized UMGT-1 torpedo to the target area. The maximum firing range is 55 km. Quad launchers are located side by side under the navigating bridge. The AK-100 automatic gun mount of 100 mm caliber is designed for firing at air, sea and ground targets. The tower has anti-splinter armor, the possibility of manual loading is retained. The firing range is 21.5 km, the rate of fire is 60 rds / min. Constant barrel cooling is provided by seawater.

The automatic 6-barreled 30-mm AK-630M gun is designed to combat air and light sea targets at a distance of up to 5000 m. The main means of dealing with anti-ship missiles at short distances. Rate of fire 4000-5000 rds / min. "Dagger" - anti-aircraft missile system for the destruction of air targets (including low-flying). The firing range is 12 km. The missiles are housed in vertical launch containers below deck. In a 60 ° cone, the "Dagger" can fire at up to four targets and aim at them (to increase the probability of hitting) up to eight missiles. All of the ship's weapons are controlled by the Lesorub-55 combat information and control system, which uses information from the radar and other detection equipment. BIUS allows you to highlight priority goals and use weapons with maximum efficiency.

At the moment, only eight BODs remain in service (the most numerous ships of this particular project), equally divided between the Northern and Pacific fleets.

More universal project 11551

Soon after the entry into service of the first BODs of Project 1155 type Udaloy, it became obvious that it was possible to make the armament complex noticeably more balanced, strengthening the anti-ship and universal components, while simultaneously replacing more advanced anti-aircraft defense and anti-aircraft defense systems. The artillery received one double-barreled 130-mm gun instead of two 100-mm guns; appeared eight anti-ship missiles "Moskit", and for the air defense in the near zone installed the SAM "Kortik". The PLUR “Rastrub” gave way to the PLUR “Waterfall”, and the RBU-6000 anti-submarine rocket launchers - the anti-torpedo protection complex RBU-12000.

SJSC "Polynom" was replaced by the newer "Zvezda-2". The ship improved in this way received the designation BOD project 11551; the first of the proposed 10, was laid in 1990. The subsequent events (perestroika and glasnost, if anyone does not remember) significantly delayed the construction, and the Admiral Chabanenko entered service only in February 1999.

He stayed the only representative of the 11551 project, although this version has significantly higher qualities compared to the original 1155th. According to experts, the BOD project 11551 represents a balanced multipurpose ship, in many ways superior in combat capabilities to the destroyer of Project 956, while devoid of the latter's shortcomings.
