Planning Motivation Control

Opening of a shoe factory. Shoe factory business plan. IT tools used by Vladimir Grigoriev

Is a very common business. This is due to the enormous popularity of the product, because it belongs to essential goods. Proceeding from this, shoe production is becoming more and more profitable. But only the production of quality goods can pay for itself. And for this it is necessary to select the appropriate equipment for the production of footwear.

You can increase the profitability of your business through an interesting shoe design. And already based on it, purchase the necessary equipment.

Production stages

The shoe production technology is rather complicated and requires a variety of shoe equipment. But the selection of equipment depends on the direction of production.

The production process consists of several stages:

  • model development;
  • detailing the template, disassembling into parts;
  • cutting from prepared material: simple repeating parts are cut with specially made cutters, complex elements are cut out by hand; this also includes the production of insoles;
  • marking of seams;
  • firing edges;
  • processing of cut out parts: alignment, branding with requisites, duplication with gaskets, painting;
  • assembly of parts: gluing, stitching, folding the edges, hardening;
  • gluing the sole;
  • finished product polishing, decoration, lace dressing.

Insoles making:

  • pressing the material;
  • edge grinding;
  • gluing with a special glue on a rubber base;
  • re-pressing.

Shoe manufacturers in our country prefer to buy insoles from overseas suppliers, rather than make them on their own.

Santoni Shoe Making

Part nesting process

For cutting parts, special machines for the production of shoes are used. Different equipment performs different operations. There are hydraulic punching presses, but they are becoming more and more popular. automatic systems cutting. Machines need special cutters (stamps), which are individually made for each shoe model. But such a system is only suitable for high production speeds. For small batches, it is better to use hand knives in combination with cutting plates, tables, punches, etc.

The main equipment to be cut out includes:

  • (for example, you can buy a CAMOGA 5200 car);
  • cutting press;
  • double machine;
  • a machine for lowering the edges of leather and backdrops and various details;

The popular automated machine SS 20 lowers the edges of leather and backdrops, as well as inversion and rolling of backdrops. Has high performance, and with the help additional equipment can expand its functions.

You need a press for embossing (a hand press SM 9500, costing about 110,000 rubles, and a guillotine for small leather (model SM992, costing about 10,000 rubles) will do.

The process of forming blanks

The further stage of production consists of equipment for various functional purposes. Basically, these machines make various blanks of finished shoes - insoles, heels, soles.

Required:

  • machine for splitting skin layers; the most popular manufacturer is Camoga;
  • a machine for releasing the edges of leather, it is better to choose the manufacturer Fortuna;
  • press, duplicating additional lining material, increases the wear period of shoes and improves quality;
  • gluing machine to facilitate gluing with tapes, soles;
  • machines that fold the edges of the material and at the same time cut off the excess;
  • equipment that works with different braids, but is necessary only for some models;
  • equipment that forms vamp, making them voluminous;
  • a press that emboss the upper material, with its help they decorate the models;
  • press for carving leather, used for decorative purposes: makes drawings and ornaments;
  • machines for attaching shoe accessories.

Sewing process

Requires industrial shoe sewing machines. Equipment for sewing shoes must perform different functions. For a full-fledged workflow, you will need 5 sewing machines:

  1. Flat: used to collect bulky workpieces (Pfaff brand);
  2. Columnar: collects volumetric blanks;
  3. Zigzag type: lining stitching;
  4. Heavy class: sewing edges, decorative seams;
  5. Repair.

Sewing machine MEC VAL CS 87 stitching shoes with a constant stitch length using the double foot. Facilitates heel stitching. It has electronic regulation, pneumatic lifting of the bracket, thread trimming device, which reduces their consumption.

Indicators:

  • Dimensions: 110 x 63 x 140mm;
  • Weight: 135 kg;
  • Power: 0.75V;
  • Speed: 800 stitches per minute;
  • Stitch length: 3 - 8 mm.

Assembly operations

Shoe equipment is divided according to the main purpose:

  • moisturizing the part with the heel to give the necessary elasticity to the object (so that there are no cracks or tears in the material);
  • heel tightening: glues the back to the workpiece and tightens, forming the entire heel part;
  • lining processing;
  • tightening the sock on the last;
  • tightening the bootleg;
  • steam finishing with a hair dryer;
  • firing threads with a hairdryer;
  • sealing defects with hot steam;
  • moisturizing the sock;
  • cooling in the refrigerating chamber;
  • spraying glue;
  • the circumference of the upper layer of the base material;
  • gluing the back seam;
  • fastening the insole to the shoe;
  • attaching a heel;
  • pressing the sole.

Final production processes

No less important and difficult are the final operations, after which the shoes are sold.

To be acquired marketable condition, you need the following equipment:

  1. Polishing apparatus - finisher: it is equipped with a rotating shaft with special brushes. For ease of use, speed adjustment is possible. When using this equipment, various chemical components are used - creams and paints;
  2. Shaping of the bootleg;
  3. Camera for painting and applying water-repellent components;
  4. Gluing the sole.

This is how the Giovi forefoot is molded.

Today, high demands are placed on the shoe business. Not only should the shoes be comfortable and reliable, they should correspond to the latest fashion trends and be original. Foreign manufacturers have gone far ahead in this business, so imported products account for most of the market. However, its prices are significantly higher than domestic goods. Therefore, an entrepreneur who has managed to occupy a niche between cheap domestic and expensive imported products will be able to put his business on a successful course. Moreover, experts note an increase in demand for model shoes.

Features of work in the shoe industry

For a business to be successful, it is important not only to be well versed in it. Only if you are constantly aware of the latest trends in shoe fashion, various innovations and unusual solutions, you will be able to provide the market with these new items in time, and, therefore, improve your position on it.

But the footwear market is very vast, and it is simply impossible to be competent in all its manifestations. Therefore, it is recommended to choose a narrow specialization in shoe making and become an expert in this field. This is the only way to bring the business to a leading position in the intense competition.

The market is very competitive. Therefore, before drawing up a business plan, you need to study the situation on the market of your region: its saturation, the specialization of competitors, the quality of the offered products, pricing policy, etc.

Case registration

For the official work of the factory, your business must be registered. If you are planning a small production, you can stop at individual entrepreneur... This will require only five working days and a minimum of funds:

To open a large factory, it is advisable to register entity... Then you can trade in large quantities.

It is recommended to choose a simplified taxation system for small and medium-sized businesses. There are two possibilities here. 6% is paid from total income or 15% from net income, that is, the one from which expenses were deducted. An accountant or a lawyer will advise which system is best to choose in relation to your case.

During registration, you must indicate the OKVED code 19.30: production of shoes. It makes it possible to manufacture any type of footwear, from any material, as well as its details: heels, insoles, soles and others. Please note that this code does not apply to these types of shoes:

  • orthopedic;
  • from asbestos;
  • for skates and rollers.

Company name

An important step in creating your own production is the registration of the original name of your company. It should be short and memorable, as well as associated with the activities of the enterprise. When choosing a name, some existing restrictions must be taken into account. For example, to use the names of states, cities, subjects Russian Federation, special permission is required. And these are additional costs.

It is mandatory to register the original name in Russian: full and abbreviated. Additionally, you can approve the full and abbreviated name on English language and the language of the peoples of the Russian Federation.

We define the assortment

Your business plan should define what range of shoes you will be working with. And first of all, establish which price category you plan to cover. Practice shows that the most cost-effective production- making footwear for people of average income. Include footwear for all ages and genders in your production plan.

With regard to the specific assortment of goods, there are many types of shoes. It is divided by gender into male and female. There is also a classification by seasons: demi-season, spring, autumn, winter and summer.

By purpose, shoes are classified into:

  • orthopedic;
  • production;
  • professional;
  • weekend;
  • everyday;
  • military;
  • household.

In addition, there are many different models of each type of footwear. What exactly to build a business on depends on the preferences of the entrepreneur and the requirements of the market.

Manufacturing process

Shoe manufacturing technology is a complex and multi-stage process. Within the framework of the factory, individual specialists work at each of them using special equipment. Therefore, be prepared that the equipment purchase plan will consist of a huge list of required items. There are many equipment manufacturers in the market. You can find everything you need for any budget that your business plan provides.

Representative offices of such world famous manufacturers of footwear equipment as Volonte, Silpar, Sicomec, Selmac, Rachioni, Pfaff, Meccanica, Officina, Obe, Neve, Mec-Val, Mav, Matic Verdi, Knaoz, Iron Fox, Elettrotecnica, Ecom operate in Russia. , Durcopp Adler, Comelz, Cerim, Camoga, Banf, Atom.

It is difficult to name even the approximate cost of such equipment, since it is produced and delivered strictly to the order of each specific factory. Therefore, it is necessary to decide with the manufacturer and personally specify the cost of the order.

Cutting

The first step in making shoes is cutting out the necessary parts on finished leather. For example, to make one shoe, you will need about 30 of them. At this stage, you will need cutters or special stencils, as well as a punch press. The latter equipment can be adjusted to suit different skin types. Please note that you will need two of these presses. One is for cutting out the upper part and the other is for the lower part of the shoe.

Insole making

This stage of production can be omitted if the insoles are not prepared independently, but are purchased ready-made. In the event that you decide to establish your own production of them, you will need to include in the business plan the purchase of such equipment:

  • unit that lowers the edges of the bottom of the shoe;
  • a hydraulic press that will form a warm insole;
  • unit for greasing the half insole with glue;
  • unit for grinding the edges of insoles;
  • press that forms the insole.

The technological process of production in this case begins with cutting out the insole, pressing on a special press on both sides, grinding the edges. After that, the insoles are glued with rubber glue and processed with another press.

Preparation of blanks

At this stage, the parts go through the marking stage - lines are applied to them, along which the seams will pass. After that, the edges of the workpiece are fired, painted and polished. This is necessary in order for the edges to become narrower and smoother. Then it is convenient to sew them.

For this stage of production, include in the business plan the purchase of the following machines:

  • for duplicating lining, top and hot-melt parts;
  • for lowering the edges of elements to thin their edges;
  • a unit for applying identification numbers to each pair of shoes;
  • machine for leveling parts of the top of the product.

Sewing shop

After preparation, the parts are sent to the sewing workshop. Here they are sewn in the desired sequence, creating shoe blanks. In the same workshop, thermoplastic inserts are inserted into them, which help to maintain the shape of the shoe longer. To do this, the workpiece is laced with temporary laces, put on a metal foot heated to 150 ° C and immediately cooled to -20 ° C.

For this workshop, it is necessary to include the purchase of such equipment in the business plan:

  • apparatus for forming a leather patch on the instep and toe;
  • back seam smoothing machine;
  • bending device for the edges of parts;
  • toe insert apparatus;
  • apparatus for spreading glue;
  • industrial sewing machines;
  • sewing conveyor.

Assembling shoes

Assembling shoes begins with processing the workpiece on a ruffer. Here the temporary sole is prepared for gluing: it is leveled and cleaned of dust. After that, in a special oven it is processed at a temperature of 60 ° C, the residues are cut off at the edges. Only then is the sole glued or sewn onto the workpiece. Finished shoes are polished with waxed sheep wool and laced. The last stage is carried out entirely by hand.

At this stage of production, you will need a special assembly line, which includes the following devices:

  • for cleaning and polishing;
  • for smoothing the bootleg;
  • for removing blanks from the blocks;
  • press for gluing seams;
  • thermoactivator for adhesive films;
  • marker;
  • ruffler;
  • blower;
  • cooling tunnel;
  • dried the checkpoint;
  • humidifier;
  • for tightening;
  • backdrop shaper;
  • vamp shaper;
  • insole bead.

Raw materials

For the production of quality footwear, quality raw materials are required. Therefore, include in your business start-up plan finding a reliable supplier of quality leather. It is not necessary to look for them abroad, the country also has enough tanneries. For large manufacturers, the minimum order is one ton of leather. But you can find small factories with minimum deliveries starting at 300 kg. The cost of raw materials depends on the type of leather. On average, a square meter will cost:

  • RUB 100-180 from cattle;
  • RUB 50-150 for suede;
  • RUB 100 for perforated leather.

Separately, various chemical consumables must be included in the procurement plan:

  • paints;
  • liquid polyurethanes;
  • reagents for skin preparation;
  • adhesives;
  • means for processing seams and edges;
  • oils;
  • cream;
  • liquids for finishing leather.

The prices for these materials depend on the manufacturer.

Package

Do not forget that your shoes must be sold in special boxes. They can be ordered from any specialized factory. Packing is prepared according to your order separately for each shoe model. As a rule, your company logo is applied to it.

Premises and staff

Based on the described amount of required equipment, you can imagine the required scale of production areas. In addition to workshops, it is necessary to provide warehouses for storing raw materials and finished products, as well as premises for staff. In total, at least 7 thousand square meters will be required. m. It is better to look for a suitable premises in industrial areas, since the production should not be located near residential buildings.

Before renting a room, it is important to check the availability and serviceability of all the necessary communications: telephone line, water supply, gas pipeline, electrical network. Please note that the network must be industrial, since some machine tools consume up to 50 kW of electricity.

V automatic mode Not all equipment works. Some stages of production provide exclusively manual work... Therefore, the factory will require a lot of personnel. Almost every machine needs an operator. Accordingly, the factory will need about 250 workers to work in two shifts.

Product certification

Absolutely all footwear produced must undergo sanitary and epidemiological control. Children's shoes are subject to compulsory certification, and for an adult this is a voluntary matter. But the adult must be declared. Also, any product must comply with GOST. Each type of footwear has its own standards.

Sales

How to organize the sale of products depends on the scale of your production. If you produce large quantities of goods, it makes sense to conclude agreements with large chains. Alternatively, you can organize your own small shop selling products. But the most important condition for successful sales is quality products.

Investments

As practice shows, in order to organize the production of footwear from scratch, at least 180 million rubles will be required. investment. The profitability of such production is kept at the level of 48%. The investment will pay off in about four years.

»We introduce you to enterprising and courageous women who are ready for a lot on the way to their Dreams, even work hard and start their own business :). Today's heroine, Oksana Korchinskaya, decided to go into business after an unsuccessful shopping: another pair of shoes could not stand the test of the homespun truth of domestic roads. Oksana decided: "if you want to do well, do it yourself." Now Korchinskaya has no complaints about the quality of her shoes.

At 20 years old I was getting the education of a psychologist, but by 19 I realized that I wanted to be engaged in the production of shoes in one form or another. Probably, I still don’t have a clear and concrete picture of how it should look at the “finish”. But, nevertheless, it was my dream, and at 20, and now. I don’t know what will happen next, although I’m not one of those who give up easily. Such a rather vague dream for myself - to produce shoes and get paid for it :)

On the second university course I am disappointed with the quality of the shoes, who met in my life, decided that it was worth the risk and buy really expensive boots in the hope of better quality. Under the guarantee, I took them back to the store twice, then the warranty period simply ended. Now I understand that I just went to the “wrong” store, and then my world collapsed: there was not enough money anyway, but here the boots die 2 weeks after the purchase. Thanks to these boots, I found a specific goal: to find out how the shoes are made and what is the secret of their quality. This idea has lived in my head for three years, probably. I discussed it with close people, everyone was madly in love with the idea of creating shoes "from the picture" - in any color, with any shape of the toe, the height of the heel. Yes, this is the dream of almost every girl. But what side to approach this I could not even imagine.

Next "Impetus" for the development of their shoe business was the birth of a daughter. I stayed too long at home, so the desire to socialize was overcome by the feeling of fear and insecurity. I started looking for where and from whom I could learn the work of my dreams. I went to courses, to one, to the second and started trying to create something for myself, my friends at cost. Over time, I began to earn something. In this mode of "word of mouth", as my teacher said, I worked until May of this year.

Somehow last year I got to a training at the university where I studied. Graduates who have already created their own business and are successfully running it spoke there. I remember one statement very much.

It is good that you have an idea for a business and that others like it, but it can be considered really successful if there is a person in your environment who is ready to share all the costs with you and participate in this business.

At that time, I already roughly understood what I wanted. In times of crisis, it was necessary to add something to my creative searches in shoe making that would bring more or less stable monthly income. The decision was to open a studio for the repair and sewing of shoes and clothes. In general, everyone around said that the idea was good and needed to be implemented. One close a friend decided to become my business partner, which became a confirmation that the idea is good. Together, spending money and working is easier.

The premise that we have rented, was chosen in a large residential complex. The ateliers were equipped with their own hands as much as possible - friends actively helped, for which we are very grateful. All expenses were divided for two, I borrowed a small part. We did not buy the equipment, because the craftsmen with whom we cooperate work on their own. The plans, of course, are own workshop... That's where the costs will be, but with our volumes it is still possible to work in cooperation mode.

It was really difficult to find yourself specifically in this industry. There are many options: from individual tailoring to factories that produce shoes in hundreds of thousands of pairs per month. The starting idea was custom tailoring of shoes. but now I'm trying to get rid of it entirely. In my opinion, individual tailoring of shoes has the right to be engaged in a person who makes a pair from beginning to end (discusses the design of a pair with a client, models it, selects all materials, cuts, sews, tightens a pair on the last, tints, adds accessories), and each the stage is discussed with the client, if this is not done, then an unexpected result for the customer may turn out. Working in this way, the master can make 4-6 pairs a month, and has every moral right to ask for a lot of money for such shoes.

Our goal after all, it is the promotion of quality footwear to the masses, and we try to keep prices at an average level. Therefore, we decided to work with a ready-made model range: the client sees a pair and can order it in a different color, material, or size. Rather, ideally I see it as mass market. In general, the path from custom tailoring to creation lineup was really tricky.

Our atelier is only less than three months old. For two months of work the studio recaptured almost half of the money invested... According to the plan, this process should take us six months.

To the process of making shoes the phrase “live and learn” is very suitable, and one has to learn solely from one's mistakes, calluses and legs torn to blood. But the result is worth it: when all the materials are carefully selected, the last is correctly chosen and the pair is well modeled, the result is really good quality shoes.

The most important thing in working with a client is attention to detail. We have both repair and tailoring of shoes. Sometimes it is difficult to force yourself to go far and buy, for example, a beautiful buckle on your boots, realizing that with the deduction of gasoline you will earn twenty hryvnia on this, spending a lot of time. There was a period when I was discouraged from looking for all these little things. But you know, when a client is really satisfied, it doesn't really matter how much he paid you for this smile. Moreover, in general, such clients return more and more, ultimately bringing in income no less than from a pair of boots.

ABOUT ME

When I attended courses in fashion and shoe design, I met a girl who had her own atelier. Now she has gone to work abroad, leaving me the equipment for the sewing industry. Thanks to this, we have added repair and tailoring services to our services. Each of her visits ends with a mass of new ideas in my head, she taught me to whine less and enjoy life more. Such a walking positive that inspires me.

To relieve stress, I play squash, I hug people who are nearby, I eat Olivier, I drink coffee with my girlfriends. In general, my stress is from fatigue, in general, so the recipe is simple - you need to rest.

My day begins from the fact that I turn off the alarm, put myself in order. I try to wake up my daughter with a kiss, if it doesn't help, I turn on the music, dance for five minutes, choose a dress that we will put on in the garden and get ready. During the training camp, you need to fetch as much information as possible about yesterday's day and cuddle so that both her and me will be enough until late in the evening. This time is sacred to me. When the studio is fully operational, it turns out only in these morning hours to fully devote time to my daughter. I take her to the garden myself, with rare exceptions, so we still have additional time to chat.

Mostly, trying to sleep with my baby, by 22 o'clock. But this is rather the ideal that I strive for, it turns out in different ways - sometimes at 21.00, sometimes at 5 in the morning. I set the alarm clock at 6.30 and no indulgences! Exception Sunday and Monday: these are days off at the tailor shop.

Bad habit you can't get rid of: smoking. More and more often I remember the day when I bought the first pack of cigarettes and ask myself the question “Why ??”.

In moments of despair stimulates the next ritual. If it is not very critical and ordinary laziness is to blame for everything, then I find a thing more beautiful and more expensive, and look at it for about 15 minutes, while diligently convincing myself that I can’t live without it anymore. In the next 5 minutes, a plan is born to conquer it, the work that I have to do and ideas on how to do it in as soon as possible, for I will not live long without this thing. Work gets done, but things tend to be forgotten :).

There are many brands on the market offering quality footwear for all tastes. There are also a lot of groups joint procurement and online stores with delivery to different regions of the country. However, shoe sewing is still relevant. Unique models that are handmade according to individual measurements are a promising direction that is gradually gaining more and more customers around the world.

Business features

To offer high-quality and popular products, you need to have a certain degree of competence, constantly monitor new items and fashion trends.

Shoes are a variety of goods. Therefore, before creating your own brand, it is important to determine the specialization. Women's, children's or men's? Elite leather or affordable youth? Or maybe gain fame by organizing the sewing of orthopedic shoes? You need to think about the direction at the stage of the enterprise.

When choosing a niche, it is important to study the competition, the degree of saturation, and create your own unique offer. You also need to understand the technology, materials, think over a plan for promoting goods. Today it is not necessary to open your own, which will be similar to many others. Moreover, it is difficult to compete with Chinese-made products.

It is best to develop a strategy that allows you to offer exclusiveness and quality, to get the first customers who will recommend products to their friends.

Where to begin

Initially, you need to legalize the business. Most profitable option for those who plan to organize a small shoe-making studio - opening. To start, it is enough to find a small room or take orders at home.

As the business develops, it will be possible to open. This is true if you have wholesale buyers or work with businesses.

When registering, you must indicate the code of the future activity. By a single classifier manufacture of shoes, pads and insoles - OKVED 19.30 "Manufacture of footwear". However, it does not apply to orthopedic models, rollers, skates.

Opening a current account, making a seal, notary services - all this can be done after receiving the first orders.

The preparatory work ends with the choice of the name of the company. Serious attitude will allow you to maintain not only a good reputation, but also to register your own trademark in the future.

Room selection

If it involves sewing shoes and selling them, then you need to include rental costs in it retail space... It is most beneficial to open a point in a crowded place. For example, in a large center.

The most cost-effective is the production of footwear for middle-income buyers. They don't want to wear cheap, uncomfortable models. However, they do not have the opportunity to buy expensive branded items.

More economical option- rent a place on clothing market... Quality products will quickly become popular. The main thing is to set the optimal price that will attract buyers and will be beneficial to the entrepreneur.

In a small atelier, you need to provide a workshop, a fitting room, a sewing room. It should be cozy and comfortable for customers to place an order. It is necessary to purchase soft sofas instead of office chairs, provide an opportunity for dialogue with the designer and cutter, prepare interesting photos and samples of handmade shoes.

As the business develops, large-scale production can be planned. The location of the workshops does not matter. Therefore, it is better to rent premises in industrial areas, on the outskirts of the city.

Purchase of raw materials and supplies

Today it is not difficult to find suppliers of natural or artificial materials... Domestic companies use modern equipment and processing technology. They produce high quality leather and suede. It is necessary to look specifically for manufacturers, not resellers who sell the same products with a wrap.

The choice of the supplier of the pads will directly affect the income of the entrepreneur. The foot may be too small, large, with a high rise, flat, wide or narrow. If the company carries out tailoring of footwear to an individual order, then the possible options should be taken into account.

Choosing a business model

Individual tailoring of shoes can be organized in several ways:

  1. Complete shoe factory... To organize production from scratch, it will take about 180 million rubles. The amount consists of the cost of equipment, rent of space, wages employees (almost every device will require a separate employee), procurement of raw materials and supplies. The factory has a long payback period. At least 4 years with good organized system sales.
  2. Placement of production in China will be cheaper... An entrepreneur will need time and skills in working with foreign companies, building a logistics and management system.
  3. Sewing shoes to order... Individual, piece production is interesting to many wealthy people. High-quality lasts for sewing shoes, fashionable models, perfect fit on the foot, comfort that does not depend on the height of the heel - everything should be thought out to the smallest detail. You can get training from craftsmen who have made a name for themselves, starting with sewing shoes with their own hands.

Production profitability

The project payback depends on the type of footwear produced. Casual models of the middle and low price category will be in high demand. However, sewing women's shoes, especially the model with high heels is considered unprofitable and long-term payback.

On initial stage you can open a small atelier. The investment amount will be from 500,000 rubles. Seasonality should be taken into account when calculating income. In summer, the demand for products falls. With a well-functioning sales system, revenue can reach 300,000 rubles.

As an additional service, the atelier can pay attention to shoe repair. Dress up shoes can be transformed into casual shoes by changing the color and replacing the heel with a more stable one. The designer can easily decorate nondescript shoes with rhinestones or other elements, transform them with a rich shade.

Household footwear has long passed from the category of functional items to a fashionable and stylish wardrobe item. Beautiful and comfortable shoes for home use in great demand among buyers. Moreover, its production is much cheaper than the manufacture of ordinary shoes.

Oddly enough, competition in this market segment is relatively low. Basically, cheap Chinese-made shoes prevail here. A small share (no more than 10%) belongs to relatively expensive imported (mainly Italian) footwear for the home, the average retail price of which is about 700-1000 rubles. Products of Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian manufacturers are also presented on this market. Nevertheless, most of them produce and sell footwear in the lower price segment (as a rule, these are typical textile indoor and outdoor slippers with rubber soles).

Already at the stage of drawing up a business plan, think over for what target audience your products will be targeted. Experts advise focusing on the still empty niche of high-quality original shoes for the house in the middle price segment. These can be knitted slippers and indoor boots with anti-slip soles, as well as textile shoes with a small heel and various decor. It is pleasant to wear such shoes yourself and it is not a shame to offer guests. It can also be a pleasant and original gift.

The scale of production of original home shoes is limited, as the market is not as extensive as that of cheap shoes due to the above average price. Therefore, the reputation of the manufacturing company and the high quality of its products are of decisive importance. And for this reason, the main (albeit not the largest) item of your future expenses is not equipment, but a designer-fashion designer who will come up with and draw a sketch of models, and a constructor who will prepare templates.

If you yourself have the necessary knowledge and experience and plan to take on these responsibilities, try ordering a small batch of shoes from your assortment at a shoe factory and offer "samples" for sale in stores. In any case, before placing an order for mass production, it is necessary to make a prototype of the model. To do this, you need pads (it is best to order them from a specialist), model, template, material, boot knife, sewing machine, shoe pliers, special shoe glue, as well as tools for installing accessories (eyelets, blocks, decorative elements etc.).

If the trial batch disperses quickly, you should think about organizing your own production. Necessary equipment depends on the models you intend to produce and the materials you will be using. For ordinary slippers, microporous rubber is used as a sole, and nonwovens and laminated fabrics are used for the upper. Used as a heater artificial fur, and for the insole - a special material. You can purchase all the necessary materials in wholesale and retail specialized stores for footwear.

Of the equipment, you will need several types of industrial sewing machines, knitting machines (for the production of knitted socks, slippers and boots), a press for cutting blanks, a cutting knife, a cutting table, racks and other storage systems.

Depending on the volume of production and the complexity of the product, you can place orders for manufacturing in shoe factories (usually the minimum order for a small factory is 1000-1500 pairs), in sewing ateliers, do all the work yourself (this is only justified if you are a fashion designer with a worldwide famous name and one pair of your shoes will cost a fortune) or seek the services of home seamstresses. In the latter case, the costs will be the lowest at relatively high volumes and speed of production.

There is no need to spend money on equipment - professional seamstresses who work from home have everything they need to work. Most heavy expenses it will be required to rent premises for cutting and packing finished shoes (from 15-20 sq. meters).

If you already have ideas about the models of your future shoes and at the same time you do not want or cannot hire a designer, technologist, constructor and cutter, then there are several options for working on your own. In the first case, you can try to find a company that sells own equipment and materials and conducts training to work with them for their clients.

You can also search in your city educational institution, which trains such specialists (for example, a technical school of light industry). In addition, it is necessary to look for information in the literature and on specialized Internet forums. Of course, training will take a lot of time. And you can hardly avoid mistakes at the first stage of work.

In addition to a designer, constructor and seamstress, you will need one or two cutters. Don't forget about the accountant as well. The purchase of materials and the search for distribution channels can be dealt with independently at first. Large manufacturers work with wholesale companies. Smaller firms sell their products directly to stores.

The more creative and original your shoes are, the less conventional shoe stores are suitable for selling them. Pay attention to individual outlets and networks that specialize in selling souvenirs, fashion accessories and gifts. Such a product is excellently sold through online stores. The main thing is that the dimensional grid corresponds to GOST, since when buying via the Internet, fitting shoes is, for obvious reasons, impossible.

So, if you plan to open own production home shoes, size start-up capital depends on the planned assortment, the number of products manufactured, your knowledge in this area (or the ability to seek the help of specialists), as well as the distribution channels for finished shoes. Minimum amount- from 200-300 thousand rubles (taking into account the order of patterns, the purchase of materials, the hiring of home seamstresses and the release of small batches).

The shoe business is influenced by the seasonality factor. In the period from late spring to early autumn, there is a decline in sales. The peak is in the winter season.
