The creators of the atomic bomb, together with postgres professional, have released a subd for working with the state secret. Synergy operating system Operating system synergy

Experts from the Center for the Study of Regional Problems identified the most notable IT projects that were developed within the framework of the Russian anti-crisis program, including import substitution. The third and fourth places were taken by the operating system "Synergy" and the processor "Elbrus", respectively.

Operating system Synergy is the most famous Russian Windows project, created by Russian Railways and the Russian Federal Nuclear Center (RFNC-VNIIEF). The pilot version of the operating system has already been written and is being tested by the Sarov nuclear center. On March 25, it became known that Synergy OS is already undergoing certification.

The Elbrus processor family is the development of the domestic company MCST. The processors are built according to the "wide command word" scheme. For most programs, the performance of one thread of execution on Elbrus is higher than on an equal-frequency Intel Core processor.

The top 5 IT projects also included the National Payment Card System (NSPK JSC, 100% of the shares of NSPK JSC belong to the Central Bank Russian Federation), Unified State Information system social security(Pension Fund of Russia) and the package of office applications "My Office" (the company "New cloud technologies").

Among startups Russian enterprises small and medium-sized businesses that are engaged in the development of IT products, the Center's specialists noted Promobot ("living" robots), "3D Bioprinting Solutions" (bioprinting), Fibrum (gadget virtual reality). These companies, according to the specialists of the Center, have significant potential, which can significantly accelerate the development of innovative activities.

Development information technologies in the context of the economic crisis caused by a number of objective factors, largely determines the competitiveness of the Russian economy as a whole and not only within the framework of import substitution. The Russian IT industry is already demonstrating a significant increase in the share of solutions from domestic developers and manufacturers.

The study analyzed public projects launched in the period from 2014 to 2015. Key economic indicators projects: investment volume, project profitability, public importance and the multiplier effect of the project on the economy. The audience of the project and other components of the profitable implementation of systems are analyzed.

“The economic crisis, and especially the policy of sanctions, seriously affected the development of the IT industry in Russia. V better side... It would be strange to hope that in a year and a half the country will have its own Microsoft and Intel. However, the latest trends in the industry indicate the right direction for development. Projects that entered the top 5 are just some of the work done, which would have been impossible without the sanctions policy and current economic problems, ”said Mikhail Sokolovsky, a leading analyst at the Center for the Study of Regional Problems.

The nuclear center RFNC-VNIIEF, which is part of Rosatom, has completed the creation of the Synergy-DB DBMS. The system is based on PostgreSQL open source DBMS. Synergy-DB makes it possible to apply mandatory access control, which makes it suitable for working with a state secret high level.

Development of "Synergy-DB"

The Russian Nuclear Center FSUE RFNC-VNIIEF has completed the development of the Synergy-DB secure database management system. The system was created on the basis of PostgreSQL open source DBMS. PostgreSQL is a relational database management system for UNIX-like platforms, written by the community of the same name in the SQL language, with the addition of C and C ++.

The work on the creation of the Synergy-DB system was carried out by the Russian company Postgres Professional, founded by the PostgreSQL developers and awarded a contract by the results of an open tender. According to the project manager of RFNC-VNIIEF Andrey Popov, the contractor did the job well.

The development took place within the framework of the contract that was received by Postgres Professional Development LLC (Postgres Professional) following the results of the RFNC-VNIIEF tender, which ended in October 2016. With the starting price of the lot at p 26.7 million, the contract with the winner was concluded for p 26 , 2 million. Nobody competed in the tender of the company.

In a conversation with CNews general manager Postgres Professional Oleg Bartunov confirmed that all work took place within the framework of this agreement.

Scope and compatibility

Synergy-DB can be used for storing data at enterprises that need an increased level of information security. Potential customers are representatives of the nuclear weapons and defense industry, as well as federal and regional government agencies.

Nuclear Center RFNC-VNIIEF located in the closed city of Sarov

Synergy-DB allows organizing access of a large number of users to data of varying degrees of secrecy. It is designed to work with two domestic operating systems - "Synergy-OS v.1.0" and Astra Linux Special Edition. Thanks to this, the DBMS receives data on the user's credentials through the security provider.

Security providers are modular. This allows you to expand the list of supported operating systems without changing the source code. At the same time, the DBMS is certified as a separate product from the OS, so it can be tailored to the requirements of a particular customer and quickly certify the resulting modification. Supported OS vendors will not be involved in this process.

Access control

Synergy-DB uses discretionary differentiation of access rights, that is, for each user in relation to each information object, access rights are set separately. This can be done either by the owner assigned to the object, or by the administrator of the entire system.

Discretionary delimitation is combined in Synergy-DB with mandatory access control, in which each information object has its own confidentiality label, on the basis of which users are given permissions to view this data. federal Service for technical and export control (FSTEC) of Russia stipulates mandate management as mandatory when working with a high-level state secret - 1B and 1B.

Mandatory control can be found in Linter, Oracle Database and PostgreSQL since version 9.2. Like discretionary delineation, it is implemented in the Astra Linux Special Edition OS. SUSE Linux and Ubuntu have the AppArmor mandatory access control system.

"Synergy-DB" allows identification and authentication, as well as clearing the operative and permanent memory after use. The security event logger is independent of system logging. The developers claim that Synergy-DB implements all the features of PostgreSQL.

Who participated in the project

The Russian Federal Nuclear Center - All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics (RFNC-VNIIEF) is a federal state unitary enterprise (FSUE) as part of the state corporation for atomic energy Rosatom. The Institute, founded in 1946, is located in the closed city of Sarov, Nizhny Novgorod Region. Over the years of its existence, the center has made a great contribution to the implementation of the USSR nuclear weapons program. In 2011, the institute launched the most powerful supercomputer in the Russian Federation at that time. In the same year began active development IT directions, as a result of which in 2016 a secure complete management system was created life cycle products "Digital Enterprise".

Postgres Professional was founded by three Russian developers of the PostgreSQL database management system, including the company's CEO Oleg Bartunov. In 2015, a consortium led by Postgres Professional won the competition for import-substituting IT projects of the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications in the category "Database management systems". In 2016, the company completed its own PostgreSQL database, which developers say is an "improved version" of PostgreSQL. Postgres Pro is included in the Unified Register of Russian Software.

The Russian Federal Nuclear Center () is testing the software platform developed by it based on the Synergy operating system (OS), Andrey Trishchenkov, deputy head of IT and BP of the Federal Nuclear Center, told TAdviser in September. According to him, testing began in the spring of 2015.

As of autumn 2015, working versions of Synergy are being tested in some enterprise systems, for example, in the ERP system.

ERP load tests were carried out on the basis of 2.5-3 thousand users - this number actually works in the system. On a test number of users on an ERP system, the platform did not show any fundamental differences in performance from Windows, says Trishchenkov.

“We were faced with the task so that productivity, first of all, did not fall, but whether there will be any gains in the future from the point of view of performance is an open question,” said Trishchenkov, adding that Synergy also does not fundamentally differ from Windows in other parameters. ...

In a conversation with TAdviser, the RFNC representative noted that large organizations from other industries show great interest in the platform being developed. In addition to Russian Railways, with which the nuclear center cooperates on a number of software developments, Rostec, Rosneft, Gazprom and a host of other companies are also interested in it.

The existing versions of the platform are not yet transferred for testing to third-party organizations. it is still under development. In addition, in the form in which the working solution is now, it may not be interesting to everyone. “It needs to be brought to a final, commercial product,” notes Trischenkov.

Hardware is a separate part of the Synergy OS-based infrastructure platform. According to the interlocutor of TAdviser, in this direction RFNC-VNIIEF has cooperation with the Research Institute of Measuring Systems named after V.I. Sedakov, where the hardware components are being developed.

Development of a platform based on OS "Synergy"

In one of the RFNC-VNIIEF presentations on IT development at Rosatom, published in March 2015, some details about the developed import-independent platform based on the Synergy OS are highlighted. In particular, about its functional features and areas of application.

Regarding the former, it is indicated that OS "Synergy" is a 64-bit operating system with mandatory access control and resource sharing. The platform based on it contains a first-level hypervisor with a multi-domain I / O structure. It also provides PostgreSQL DBMS integration and DBMS certification as part of the operating system. The platform does not need to use imposed information security tools.

The platform based on the Synergy OS will be able to simultaneously work in three networks with information of varying degrees of confidentiality (state secret, chipboard, Internet) using the "thin client" technology, including work with engineering applications CAD, CAM, CAE, the presentation says.

It can be used in autonomous workplaces to build automated systems in a protected version, in real-time automated process control systems, in virtual automated process control systems, in control and protection systems (CPS) and physical protection systems (PPS).

According to the presentation, the platform based on the Synergy OS can be used in geographically distributed information and control channels in a secure design and in functionally distributed computing systems.

As planned by the developers, by the end of 2015, the platform is planned to be certified to work in the chipboard and state secrets, and in 2016-2017. develop its functionality and provide support for the versioning of the product at enterprises.

2014: Development of OS to replace Windows

In Sarov (RFNC-VNIIEF) is developing its own OS called "Synergy", said in May 2014 the Deputy Director for IT of the Nuclear Center Oleg Krivosheev... He told TAdviser that the system being developed uses the Linux kernel, and about 70 employees of the nuclear center are involved in its creation. At the time of the announcement, the pilot version of the OS "Synergy" is already being used in "special systems".

The development of the OS "Synergy" is carried out within the framework of ensuring the independence of the created by the center (TIS YOK), which over time is planned to be replicated at all enterprises of the industry, and in the future - to develop on the basis of this system a standard platform for the enterprises of the defense industry. Sarov Nuclear Center acts as a testing ground for the use of TIS NWC. "

Synergy is an interesting functional application designed to improve communication between multiple computers. Using its toolbox, users can use one mouse and keyboard on multiple computers at once. Active action users will be repeated on all devices on the network, since the program uses a special TCP / IP transmission protocol over port 24800.

Before starting to work with the program, it is recommended to check the status and availability of the port, because otherwise, the utility's functionality will not work. The only drawback of the application is the lack of transmission encryption, so the channel can be intercepted by third parties or malware. To prevent this from happening, you should adapt the tunneled network connection or connect security plugins.
